Let's understand this. UK is a temperate country locating in the temperate region and temperate snakes are nonvenomous; meaning that there are not poisonous. Nigeria is a tropical country locating in the tropics. Biogeographically, equatorial region is a home to most deadliest species of animals (reptiles inclusive). In UK, out of 50 snakes,the chance of seeing one that is poisonous in the midst of them is less than 1. Comparing snake bites in UK and Nigeria is a bias argument that lacks credibility.Netizens are not fools.We came from different field of studies. Stop blaming the government. Rhis snake can be found even in Lekki.
When u are building ur house, the snake can hide inside the holes of blocks till d house is finished and it will start crawling inside d ceiling chasing rats and one day it will come out from d man hole and u will be asking from where dis it enter.

Anti Snake venom is applied based on the type of snake
Because it is made from venom
What works for cobras won't work for mambas

It us not feasible to stock all kinds of venom unless it is a regular occurrence

Most doctors never see a case of snake bite in their careers

The shameful disgrace of Nigeria is that the whole federal capital territory doesn't have a centre equipped with anti-venom that any hospital across Abuja can call and have it available in minutes.
Yet just a 45 minute drive from Abuja, along the Abuja"Keffi expressway, is a snake farm owned by a retired Chief of Army staff. The most evil CAS this country has ever had. Snake venom is steadily harvested from that farm and shipped abroad.

There is anti-venom and anti-poison plant that we bought from the man that saved my brother from snake bite over 5 years ago that everyone should plant in their residence to avoid such avoidable death. It works like magic.

That's exactly what happened. Movement after snake bites enhances the movement of the venom to move to all the sensitive parts of the body. The venom destroys every cells it encountered inside the body including the heart, lungs and kidney. The best thing to Sit or lie down so that the bite is in a neutral, comfortable position. Clean the bite with soap and water. Cover or wrap it loosely with a clean, dry bandage.dont drink anything and don't talk much unless to medical personnel and make calls to a medical personnel to come quickly..the less you engage in movement the better for you......always have a doctor's number on your phone, atleast a reliable doctor....if possible have many doctors as friends and have their telephone numbers........so sad.....

Go for viper or black mamba. They seems to be friendly to those that wants to make them his pets.

Not this type of cobra specie. This type is called forest cobra, a wanderer and always ready to strike unprovoked. It’s most likely found in residential areas. I encountered one in 2001, they are always long and large.

I see snake last 2 weeks,when I dey burn my compound. As the fire dey spread go my neighbour compound.i no come get eater,so I run go carry my last bucket.i jus see something dey move in between mylegs.omo na brown snake o. If u see how swift d snake take move..naso I run. On my way back,I jam the snake again .that nite.i no fit sleep. Naso I on my lights.rush go pour snake repellant for wc.flush am twice make e spread for the pipe reach soakaway,spray am for entrance.i say that snake must perceive am. Tmrw I wan do small clearing and if I see any snake the time. I go kill am.
