First, you don't have any concrete evidence that France was behind the attack.

Secondly, that a country has more military intel does not automatically translate into them being behind an attack that took place in a region they formally occupied. As at today China has more intel on Africa, than any foreign nation will ever dream of. Yet, no one is accusing them of being behind attacks anywhere on Africa soil.

So Russia should deploy troops to Niger? When they have unsettled issues with Ukraine and are even in need of more soldiers themselves to solve their own security problems.


Go and read the statement they made about them sending troops to Iran recently to defend Iran and apply the same comment here.

I honestly don’t understand why you are foaming in the mouth. If you don’t want your words to be misconstrued, then you should learn to write clearly. The detailed explanation you have now taken the time to give (what stopped you from doing that in the first place), instead of leaving room for doubt? Or were you just too lazy then? Now you have spent twice as much time fixing what you could have done properly from the start.

Back to the main issue: yes, having superior intelligence gives a country an advantage in warfare. But right now, this is essentially the Nigerien government versus a terrorist group (a group they themselves described as poorly trained and poorly financed). My point remains: the head of state claimed that expelling France would give him absolute control over the territory, and from what we have seen so far, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Which raises the question: is he really as competent as he claims to be or his he going to blame "imperialism" for it?
