Funny but that's the truth.

Recently,a female neighbor of mine came to me to advise her on how to go about cuz her boyfriend just got some cash and has done everything for both of them to Japa to Belgium.

She's an Igbo girl from Ebonyi state. While her boyfriend is an urhobo and even hails from my village.

Everything she showed and told me were so glaring to be so untrue. I warned her ,of the danger she was about to face but from the look on her face,I could feel the joy that was already written. Na so I just lock up and mind my business.. but deep down on the inside of me,I said to myself,--"This one don already make up her mind to be bush meat"

The next thing I saw,was that she had already rented her room out,to another person and had already been paid by the new tenant, cuz her rentage was still ongoing. All of these happened without the knowledge of the landlady.

Like this,as I'm typing this, this girl is stuck right here. It seemed everything was all fallacy and the travel agent scammed the both of them. House rent she don chop. angry. New tenant has even moved in ,and she's still here.

Tho I wanted to confront her to ask what later happened to her Japa plan, but my banny said I wouldn't angry.

Not that I'm mocking her,but from what she told me,they spent over 15m naira on preparing their papers alone. Omoh, wetin dey worry we Nigerians. How can someone have that kind amount of money and still be thinking of travelling abroad without being sure of what it's gonna be like over there for him/her?

Op,the truth is very obvious and even me typing this wouldn't mind going on board should a very bus of Japa be parked in front of my house.
There is nothing wrong to want to japa. The problem lies in the desperation that makes people lose all senses. Few years back, My cousin called me that their church is sponsoring some youth to Dubai and she needed my help with funding. I told her there are too many fraud in Nigeria concerning Japa. I told her I don't have the money to help her but if they eventually got visa to country like UK, France, Canada, US or even Dubai . I will pay for the ticket and small pocket money.
A year latter, she called that the boy is stocked Libya for the past 6 months. Could not move forward nor come home because they don't have the money to bring him back as they are yet to repay the money they borrowed to sponsor him. To cut the story short, I had to come up with the money for him to come back home after a year of suffering in Libya.

If you have never stepped out of Nigeria... You would think other African nations are shit.

When I was promoted and transferred to head West Africa, I was still fooling myself that we were far ahead of them simply because we could speak polished English, and we had big names here and there.

But then...

Uninterrupted power/pipe-borne water
Stable currency/economy
Very peaceful environment
Crazy salary (I mean very crazy)
Very tight security
Which exact countries did you go to because I didn't see any country better than Nigeria. They are only good at managing themselves . All I saw was rubbish

Namibians and Nigerians have been dragging each other on Twitter (X) for sometime now. It started when a Nigerian "innocently" asked if Namibia has airports. Namibia has been on our matter since then, cooking us with undeniable facts.

I was going to add my voice in defence of my country, but after a Namibian posted the below, I calmed down, shut up and moonwalked out of the space.

Which kain see finish be dis? This one really enter. This is just the height of it 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️
What is Namibia to Nigeria?

It’s Nigerian Leaders that keep falling the country’s hand.
Namibia that’s like a deserted country. Is it their fish? Edo State can feed them comfortably

Don't be too sure about Namibians. Their scramble for emigration is not as critical as Nigeria

Even some of their populations still walk naked till today. They live like 3000 BC

I’ve got Namibian friends. Yes, they are lovely. But it hasn’t reached the level to drag Nigerians

Have you heard them talk? I mean their local dialect? grin

That's one undeniable fact. If you're not rich, you can't attempt to japa in Nigeria.

Only the rich can.

Still better than your country that voted a 90 years old drug-dealer vegetable as a president, a country with so much wealth and potential but still yet 80% of it's citizens are still lavishing in poverty, no electricity. nothing is working here that's why alot of Nigerians are running out of the country.
