Disappointed At Fellow Africans Who Ridicule Nigeria Shortcomings. by Ibrahim1985(op): 2:41am On Feb 03
The online twitter war Nigeria vs Rwanda is disappointing at the most. Nigeria is not perfect and even if a fellow Nigerian asked an ignorant question , it should not lead to a bashing of Nigeria as a whole. Every country has gone through a dark phase that can last a few years to a century. No condition is permanent , no country is perfect. A friendly reminder that Nigeria had always step up as big brother in Africa and helped many African countries at their lowest point. When they needed help, Nigeria did not make jest of such countries or made crude jokes of such countries at their lowest. Nigerian allowed many nationals to stay and do businesses and still do till today.

Some went back to their Africa countries and rebuild. To fellow Africans , a successful Africa country is a success to Africa as whole.

I will never forgive that country.

We all remembered how South West and Northern region ridiculed, mocked and insulted Nigeria and government during GEJ...

What goes around comes around

Why dont you provide a link to the original issue you are talking about? That would be good social media etiquette.

Remember, not everyone has seen a current online twitter war between Nigeria vs Rwanda let alone know what such is about

When will we ever stop this victim mentality 😔. Nigerians will go and start trouble with other African countries and when it backfires we start wailing and reminding them of what we did for them grin. How pathetic is this . Go back to where that bashing started from ,you'll see that it was Nigerians who started belittling those Namibians and they came for Nigeria, so why act like we were attacked for doing nothing ? I have never seen a banter between an African country and Nigeria that wasn't started by Nigerians. You want them to sit back and watch us insult their countries?.Most Africans would rather avoid banters with us because we have enough numbers to Bury them ,but these days, they don't seem to care about our numbers as they have enough ammunition on us ,thanks to us washing our dirty laundry in public. We are not victims ,we are bullies who hate being bullied or people that fight back. I'm sure right now ,Namibia is on the list of Africans we hate ( who have fought back) .

He won't, the intention is to lie. He knows we started it because we thought Namibians were weak and easy to bully because of their numbers, but they fought for the dignity of their country and as usual we had to remind them of what we did for them 100 years ago to wash away the shame of being mishandled by such a small country. Nigerians love to undermine other African countries online not knowing that they have the internet too and know so much about Nigeria from Nigerians that ridicule the same Nigeria that they are now fighting for grin

Maybe we should stop ridiculing other Africans and thinking they'll not come for us, these days they don't care about out online numbers ,they have enough ammunition to ridicule us. Not rants but facts that are well published, while we talk about their history and what we did in the past ,or how many people we have abroad, they talk about today and how their countries are sweet for them to live in while ours we ridicule ourselves and escape from. We will learn soon that numbers don't earn you respect ,it's the productivity of those numbers that count. Who would have thought that a small country like Namibia would leave that much heartbreak in our online forums for stating the obvious facts about the situation in Nigeria.

Stop defending Nigeria - Nigeria has no shortcomings. You have a shortcoming when you are genuinely working hard to solve a problem that's difficult to solve. Example is climate change.

However, Nigeria is a place where people (including the so-called leaders) intentionally put down because of what they stand to gain from it. For instance, an LGA chairman who doesn't want a private citizen to fix a road so he can continuously budget for the road and loot the money.

When you have a country like that, you don't have shortcomings; you have succeeded in creating a crime scene, and people who defend it in the name of patriotism are some of our biggest problems.

Shut up your mouth. Who are all these Africans to even talk back at Nigerians if APC didn't destroy Nigeria. Nigerians should throw anything at them and they should not dare contend with us if not these rubbish leaders. Imagine little Namibia rubbing shoulders with us when they should be our cleaners. No African country should be our mate if not for useless leaders . Look at how Igbos dominate everything in those countries and how we dominate in the abroad. If we had a working country, we would run Africa by remote control. Nonsense

Come and see what I was talking about. This is how it starts and then when they come for us we start behaving like little boys who are abused by their parents. Listen to the tone and come and tell us again that we don't ask for trouble . Take this to Twitter and see how the other Africans will take apart Nigeria and ridicule us until we start singing "in my time".

First dominate Igboland, then Southern Nigeria, then you can finally think of even running Nigeria. Some of you guys bring this ridicule upon Nigeria and then blame government ineptitude when other Africans come for you.

We can barely run Nigeria, and Ecowas but you think we can run Africa grin. There are African countries running their countries and regions better than we ,but they aren't making all these silly declarations, bringing ridicule upon themselves. And what exactly are we dominating in those countries? What are we dominating abroad? You think surviving in a system you don't run or fully participate in as a stakeholder is dominance ? grin

Corruption and every other problem bedeviling Nigeria is a short coming...

Even kleptomania is a short coming. One of the major problem with Nigeria is the lack of patriotism. I'm a bit traveled especially among African countries. A significant quality these countries have over Nigeria is patriotism.

Many of them have worse issues than Nigeria... but they never wash their dirty linen in public. Nigerians on the other hand would throw their country first under the bus before asking questions.

Like someone above is doing already. And they is no PR worse than bad self PR. Even lack of confidence in self is damaging talk more of negative feedback on self. It does more damage than whatever anyone would have inflicted.

In other words Nigeriians are the architects of most of the negative reputation it has built over time.

Anyway I quoted you directly to tell you whatever problems Nigeria is going through are shortcomings irrespective of whether they are intentionally done or not!

You are free to keep deceiving yourself, but the fact remains that Nigeria doesn't have a shortcoming.

If you are intentional about destroying something, it's not a shortcoming; it's a criminal act! Nigeria, like many Nairalanders say, is a crime scene!

Fear fear boy don drop long epistle disguise as comment grin. Look here. If an Igbo man ran Nigeria, you'd never see any African country deporting or treating Nigerians badly because we would deal with them mercilessly for daring us. But now cowards run Nigeria every Tom and dick think we are mates. Somalia will come and disrepair you people next because you have turned this country to a joke .
