Guys, they deserve to be celebrated. It is not a small feat for an African country, or even elsewhere to have FOUR awardees in one Grammy event.

This is record breaking!!!!

Grammy Awards is planning to create the African version. Perhaps the craze to win Grammy plaques will end the moment they do...like the MTV of old. Congratulations to the winners

If I am correct, only one of them did/does African music and identifies as a Nigerian

Which of them said in private/public that he/she is not a Nigerian? Do Nigerians listen to African music alone? It's a shame. Everything in Nigeria has been turned into tribalism...

Uncle everything is not tribalism, do they do Afircan music or not? Do they identify with us?

I have known Tyler the Creator for ages and never knew he was a Nigerian... is it someone that struggles to identify with being black that will now identify with Nigeria?

Some of you sef.

Lol... Make una dey claim nonsense. Asides Fela, none of those other people claims Nigeria. They don't even have a Nigerian passport. Low self-esteem will just be making you claim people who don't give a rat's ass about you.

Is there any specific way to identify as a Nigerian or an immigrant more than Chibueze's statement dedicating his award to the triumphs and travails of immigrants in America? It showed a guy in tune with his Nigerian roots. Apparently, conscious of it.

Erivo is a lady I know too well. She was born in Stockwell. I live in Brixton. I have witnessed some of her Nigerian oriented activities in the past. Come on! They can't be denied their deserved media prominence in Nigeria.

I can't decipher how Samuel "Seal" Olamide was more Nigerian than Tyler Okonma, yet Seal's Grammy award was well received and publicised in Nigeria.

I don't even want to name actors that are Nigerians only in names but had their awards well published in Nigeria. I am not given to these ethnic suspicions but some are just real. And this one is a shame. Pity

What happened to KORA Awards. We have, it's just long throat and inferiority complex that's worrying some people who want to be 'international' so they can brag they are better than local.

I've checked more on Eviro and I'll take the correction as there is a video of her calling herself Nigerian. I like Shaboozey and his music so got no issue with him either.

The thing is, you still you cannot expect proud Nigerians to celebrate these 3 like Fela in any way or form, when we are not shameless. Elon Musk is a South African, how many times have you heard any South African identifying with him, despite the fact he accepts he's a South African.

Anyway, as for your attack on me personally, kindly see the insults I (and a lot of other proud Nigerians) regularly throw at Kemi Badenoch, who identifies as Yoruba but refuses to identify as a Nigerian.

If you want to bring out drums and celebrate everyone because they are your townsmen, good luck with that.
