Beeron:Ok. What prompted my question was the fact that most of the fixed funds I looked up, you'll see corporate bond ( inclusive) as part of their investment PORTFOLIO I e, CS. |

EquityM:I just signed up with CS now and i am looking through the details for fixed income and i want to understand how the profit or income is calculated, upon looking at the profile information it shows 19.77% for 2025. how would that surpass MMF if some MMF were on 22% in 2025? How is the income or profit really calculated to understand which gives better returns in the lets say a year, please i understand you have explain it time after time, i just need clarity for my own understanding, no vex i can be slow in learning things.

| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:36pm On Feb 03 |
Well, last year, NAV was not implemented. This year they are using the NAV and the new regulation from SEC. Lastly, you earn profit by selling your units when the NAV is high, if you should sell low, you gonna lose money. As for now, the NAV is high, if I should sell my units, I will earn all the accured interest. Niiade: |

EquityM:Although, I will be pulling out soon from CS equity but YES! |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:39pm On Feb 03 |
That is why the total networth is showing that amount. It added fixed income fund and the equity fund in total. Smattrader: |

Smattrader:wait is that 3000 naira in one day from 500k investment, EquityM is that how the profits come in? but my next question is if we make 3000 today, can the value drop aftterward or are there negative days that take away from the profit? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:45pm On Feb 03 |
Yes, of course. That is one day profit due to the NAV. Your profit is tied down to the NAV, if he sells it now, that 3k will be added to his capital. MMF NAV stays the same, Fixed income NAV is like equity, buy and sell and fluctuate. Niiade: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 3:46pm On Feb 03 |
EquityM:are there negative day and does the negative days drop the capital and profit gains? Thank you so much |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 3:48pm On Feb 03 |
Smattrader:You right. Very right. Infact, Bond returns (both corporate bond and FG bond) is what Fixed income fund managers use to pay daily interest every day. My point aforementioned is regards the bump or spike you see in your interest in some days of the month. Now that's where loaning to banks comes in. Do you understand now? If you don't I can still try to explain in another format. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Smattrader: 3:48pm On Feb 03 |
EquityM:Now, that caught me offguard. But wait a minute, please bear with me , base on my calculator calculator I should be having N552,732.43. So, my last question is where did the N200 plus GO? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:48pm On Feb 03 |
There are negative days, red days, but smaller than equity. My advice is if you want to top up, do it on Friday evening only to beat the NAV system. Red days are temporary; just buy more units and relax. Niiade:

Niiade:Lool. I can tell you are a practical person. Solid question. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 3:51pm On Feb 03 |
When you subscribed, there will be some hidden charges and there is a different btw buy NAV and sell NAV. So if you are buying new units, you will be charged more. Smattrader: |

Omo, CS already have opened a CSCS account and CHN number for signing up, they are not playing at all o. Are they good for stock broking? I get some small stocks i brought in my university day and never got feedback from my stockbroker before he disappeared or died cus he was an older gentleman back in the day and never got confirmation on some of the stock he said he purchased, can CS find them and move them if they are a good stock broking firm, i signed up with Stanbic last year and ARM in 2022 and till date they didnt give me any CSCS or CHN number lol but in less than 5 mins CS has done it. |

| Re: Equity Investment. by Smattrader: 4:49pm On Feb 03 |
Beeron:Alright. Well understood and thanks. This was what got me confused initially 👇 This was what you wrote that got me confused 👇 Actually those are real phenomenal and not bond. Bond is apart of what fixed Income fund managers invest in generally but they also invest in short term money market like the bolded statement you quoted. The key word ' Apart '. |

EquityM:i sent an email to there enquires desk, once updated i would move my share to them and maybe i can start buying penny stock. I am very keen on penny stock only for now any idea to get informed information on these, i am also watching Beeron's videos but i am not gambling with major stock. When i get dividends or any major up move on a penny stock will sell part of it and buy value stocks. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 6:36pm On Feb 03 |
EquityM:Bro i went oo. I now understand why the gains for the csof is higher. Basically, csof only invests 100% in equity while equity funds are a mix of equity and other money market instruments Also, the equity funds are limited to the 30 top companies in the NGX while CSOF invests beyond these. CSOF also has dedicated fund managers taking position in stocks after “strong research and information”. This means they can exit and take position on short notice unlike the equity funds where you are stuck with those 30 top companies come rain come sunshine. Also, capital preservation is zero on csof, this means it’s all risk I will sleep on it and decide what to do There may be more to it that they cant divulge though. |
