The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Prof Nentawe Yilwatda has clarified the party’s stance on the ongoing political tension involving Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

In an interview with Channels TV Politics Today on Tuesday, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda stated that the dispute between Wike, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Fubara, falls outside his jurisdiction.

“When it comes to the issue between Wike and Fubara, it’s not within my purview as the national chairman of APC. Wike is in PDP, Fubara is in APC,” he said.

He further explained that the ongoing impeachment issue pertains solely to APC members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, which is led by the party.

“The issue of impeachment is not about Wike now; it concerns APC House of Assembly members. That is something I can discuss. It’s an internal matter, and we have mechanisms within APC to resolve such issues,” he added.

The chairman emphasized the need for discretion and maturity in handling internal party matters.

“We don’t put these discussions in the public. Issues can be resolved through in-house activities that require maturity to address. Wike is not a problem in APC,” he said.

Tinubu never ever leaves his boys, even those who stabbed him at his back are still with him till date. Imagine Professor Yemi Judas Osinbajo with his betrayal is still with Tinubu, likewise Obanikoro, Ogunlewe, even Aregbesola will come back to beg.

Some of those that have been with Tinubu as far back as 1992 when he was first elected Senator are still with him. Many have become governors in different states, many have become Ministers, Senators, House of Representatives, even Vice President. Several have become Police Commissioners in different states, traditional rulers and the rest.

Even when Buhari and his kitchen cabinet of kindergarten politicians picked up arms against Tinubu, he still sustained his boys in that government. So when Tinubu leaves in 2031, Wike will still be in government officially or unofficially like Babatunde Fashola

Read and understand. He said clearly Wike is not in APC. secondly he said the impeachment is an internal issue which will be handled. Meaning stop ascribing wike the powers to impeach an APC governor in an APC state, Wike doesn't have that power , we will handle it as an internal issue!
That's basically what he is saying!. Basically he is saying Wike doesn't have the power to influence APC state house members to do anything, there by dispelling the popular opinion that wike controls Rivers state APC.
