Worldbank official? The desperation and quest to always seek validation from Worldbank and IMF would have been funny if it wasn't so pathetic. "Confessions of an Economic Hitman." |

The World Bank is just a lending institution. It is not an expert on Nigeria's economic affairs. |

AMINDA:Those are the bodies in charge of world economy. They have both skills and knowledge to focast and measure. I know that you believe Peter Obi a third class in philosophy than IMF and world bank. |

muykem:Why not mention just one country that has attained development by blanketly following the policies of the Worldbank and IMF as Tinubu is currently doing. Just one please. I recommend you go read the book, "Confessions of an Economic Hitman." Also, go study what the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) did to Nigeria under IBB. |
| Re: Tinubu’s Reforms Now Global Reference Point — World Bank Official by seunowa(f): 7:41am On Feb 04 |
AMINDA:All the countries that failed due to the world bank and IMF policies are mostly countries whose politicians are riddled with corruption and insincerity in their own policy frameworks such as the structural adjustment programme in Nigeria under IBB. Structural adjustment programme of IBB failed due to political instability, corruption among the political office holders and insincerity from IBB himself. When they fail to follow through with world bank and IMF recommendations, the same politicians will tell the un-informed citizens that aworld bank is the reason for their failure. |

Reform in the midst of killing and kidnapping? We have no interest in kidnapping, killing, GMO, cashless, digital currency, digital identity, police harassment etc. You can't be talking of reform in the midst of these evil agenda against our people, especially those living in the rural areas. |

The president urged the bank to: 1. accelerate innovative financing 2. reduce bureaucracy and 3. deepen skills development. This is not the opinion of a trader but that of a dedicated economy reformist. |

Unfortunately, the opposition and their supporters might have sworn to something not to see the development of Nigeria. Imagine how their supporters have been sounding on this thread without paying attention to how their talk is just disgusting. Hating on positive news Why is it only the good news that requires questioning? Verification but when it's bad news , those should be ready to swallow instantly without any logical rethink. To be a witch, just join the opposition we have in Nigeria. They don't celebrate good news |

seunowa:IBB's government was a Saint compared to the heist currently going on under this government. Despite record-breaking loans and much touted revenue, we are currently implementing 3 budgets concurrently due to paucity of funds. This has never happened before. |

Why won’t they call it Reference point because he implemented fiscal measure that further impoverished Nigerians to meet IMF useless targets Devaluing the Naira to appease his IMF masters will always attract these cheap praises at the detriment of the masses. As useless as Buhari was, he rejected these IMF push to impoverish Nigerians. |

Klington:What you don't know is that, the man uses experts across every field of excellence to work for him. So while you are seeing a man who seemed incapable because of age, the real people doing the job are all the experts he employed . That is how smart people operate |

ayoncox:We are now bowing to imperialism and impoverishing our people just for a pat on the back from Bretton woods. No third world country will escape the poverty trap without home-grown and tailored policies that factor in their own peculiarities. |

Any reform that quickly make life harder and the result is not making life easier either, is not a reform but miscalculated policy. |
