BlueRayDick:I don't know the definition of your attacking but for me players advancing with the ball is attacking for me. At no point were any of my players with ball yesterday refusing to attack like under the previous fake pep. That's attacking for me. You can play 5-4-1 formation which look like defensive formation on paper but if your players get possession of the ball and tries to move it forward then the team for me plays an attacking football. So therefore we were not defensive yesterday,we played our normal game which is attacking but executed badly while giving you guys too much respect. I enjoyed the game yesterday,so everyone who follows the game passionately. |

When games are played the right way and you eventually lose, you can look to it and see were you can make the necessary improvements and such examples is asking Enzo Fernández to improve his long distance shots accuracy. |

Can we talk about the double standards? 🧱📉 Last night, the pundits spent 90 minutes killing Rosenior for being "too safe." But if we’d lost 4-0 playing "Heavy Metal" football, they’d be calling for his head today. 🚫🧤 Liam said it best: He’s been in that studio. He knows the game. 🧊🪄 You can't win with the "experts" unless you win on the pitch. They want "bravery" when it fails and "discipline" when it works. 🏗️🔨 The Truth: We went to the Emirates and held the best team in the country to zero big chances until the 97th minute. The plan worked defensively, the "wingers" just didn't deliver the offensive end. 🦁🧱 Stop listening to the noise. Trust the process Copied# |

Roland17:How did we get 4 corners despite parking trailer for 60 minutes according to you? ![]() |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 2:24am On Feb 05 |
popizaino:But why did he start a non-dribbler as a winger against the best defence in the league? He got that wrong in my eyes. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 4:34am On Feb 05 |
airmark:Stop capping with the 4 corners. You did not get 4 corners by the 60th minute. By the end of the first half, you mustered 1 corner kick while Arsenal had 2. I will let you try again with how many u got by the 60th. Try again.. By now, you should know I have led you into a trap. How many corners did Chelsea get in the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half while you were still trailered? Now let’s have it!

popizaino:So what gave you the impetus to ever imagine Chelsea's first half performance was anything close to attacking football? Aside from starting the match with just Delap, Enzo and Joao Pedro as the pro-attack players in the team, the first half Stats clearly showed Chelsea as a team setup just to recycle possession without any serious attacking intent. In fact, Arsenal still had a higher XG than Chelsea that needed a goal more. Your new gaffer committed a tactical sepukku with his approach to the game in the first half and majority of Chelsea fans, rival fans, and neutral fans saw through whatever BS he was saying at the post match conference. Ever wonder why u are the only lone voice speaking in support of his approach to the first half in the whole of this thread? |

Roland17: ![]() Don't let dindinrin AI mislead you to argue based on erroneous premise, Mr Roland. Where were you? 26' Corner, Chelsea. Conceded by Declan Rice. 27' The corner from Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) is intercepted by the defence. 41' Corner, Chelsea. Conceded by William Saliba. 42' Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) launches a cross from the corner, but Kepa Arrizabalaga is alert to thwart the effort |

akwesenana:He goofed by claiming we only had 1 corner in 1st half and some mumus liked his fallacious post. ![]() 3 corners in 60 minutes and Arsenal didn't even have more than 2 corners throughout the game. We should be the one pointing accusing fingers at them. Below is what parking a trailer brings.

Leyqute:Typical scummy that wouldn't follow convo and react properly. A team that parked the trailer for 60 minutes, played more corners than the one that didn't park anything. That's the point Leyqute legbegbe, i hope you were not one of those mumus that fell for the '1 corner in 1st half' post. ![]() |

Roland17:speaking of corners, I'm very disappointed with arteta using corners to score esp at away matches. It shows how predictable and single minded he is and teams will get him soon. Those five players he tells to form a faction behind the opposing defence will meet their brickwall soon and will not be able to see free headers |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 2:37pm On Feb 05 |
mirinder:2. The EPL is a must and the UCL. We now have the experience and depth in quality to make it to the finals of the UCL. Anything short of these 2 is a big disappointment for me. While I will celebrate the wins if they happen, I am uninterested in winning the Carabao and FA. The quality and depth of this roster isn’t for domestic trophies. Winning them wouldn't translate into a successful season for me. |
