Poverty cannot buy happiness too.

In fact, I have discovered that there's nothing that money cannot buy that poverty can buy. So what's the point in deceiving people about what wealth can't do when poverty can't do either.

Note he didn't say poverty brings happiness. He said money does not guarantee happiness, which means both money and poverty do not guarantee happiness.

To buy something then you MUST have something valuable to exchange in return. Someone who owns something valuable is not poor.

True to that word but 70-80% of happiness is money linked. If you have money your rate of doing evil is decreased and vice versa and if you don't have money your rate of doing evil is decreased and maybe vice versa too.

Back to the topic: I will make money and happiness will be guaranteed for me because everyone needs money to be happy.

Elon Musk or dangote kind of money brings sadness than happiness, yes you can afford almost all you want, the jets, cars, women etc, all the luxuries of life, but unfortunately there is one thing the money cannot get you enough. That one thing is time.
People like musk, dangote their kind of money becomes a burden, they have complicated their lives so much with their hundreds of businesses, any time they can have to rest or have good time is like gold, infact 24 hrs a day is not enough to cover all they need to attend to. Na so so work, work work.
That is why they say too much of everything is not good. It may surprise you that person weh get $50m fit get more peace than musk weh get $500b or dangote we get $30b.
See otedola, na that kind money sweet, at a level you reduce the kind of investments you have, be chopping your interest, then find one investment like firstbank to keep yourself busy, not the one you go and carry all the problems of Nigeria and Africa in your head like dangote.

The thing with money is that it takes a higher level of discipline to know when to stop. Once you taste small "Urge to 2x," you always want to be at the top of the food chain.

Money is seductive. It shows you the soft life, the exotic rides, and choice estates—and suddenly, you just want more. When the "urgent 2k" turns into millions, and you can get any lady you want, why would you want to stop?

But make no mistake: many politicians, yahoo boys, and businessmen started just like you. They thought they were in control, but once the money started "sweetening" them, they had no choice but to succumb. In the end, vanity upon vanity.

One can find happiness without being rich., I think that's the point here.

The truth is... The concept of poverty is largely subjective.

Worshipping and making money the center of one's life doesn't guarantee fulfillment.

It depends on what you refare to as poverty
One of the foundations of the laws of economics is that human wants are insatiable and as such reasonable people develop a scale of preference for their needs
For me if a man can meet his daily needs everyday, that person is not poor
But if a person mistakes his wants for his needs, then the definition for poverty becomes very complicated for that person

Money truly cannot buy happiness because happiness is a product of a particular state of mind where an individual is no longer afraid of losing their prized possessions, nor consumed by worry that something bad might happen to them.

A truly happy person maintains a positive mind regardless of the circumstances they face. And the only way to achieve this is to gain control of one's own thoughts.

Unfortunately, most people have not learnt this, and the result is a constant state of worry and fear triggered by an unruly mind, a mind they unsuccessfully try to control or suppress by seeking endless pleasure or indulging in drugs and excessive alcohol.

The ability to controls one's thoughts is the ability to take control of one's life and be happy. This is the only path to true happiness, not money or the seeking of endless pleasure which only gives fleeting moments of happiness.

Most people in the world confuse happiness with comfort and pleasure, which is why they miss it completely.

All of this does not mean one should find comfort in poverty. A person who does that has also missed it.

Happiness is a state of mind not found in wealth nor in poverty.

I believe Elon Musk has finally come to this realisation hence the reason for his post. it's something I have also realised myself even not as materially wealthy as him.
