The only senator I know who could realistically survive such an election is Senator Abaribe.

How many Senators do you know, I doubt it if you coykd name the senator of the community you live in, or 10 senators without looking at a refeence.

You only know Abaribe because he supports your point of view and you are assuming everyone in Abaribe's coverage area is happy with him.

Even in my own senatorial district, Delta North, Ned would not survive a credible contest against any serious Kwale candidate such as Tilije, Osanebi, or my brother and comrade, Ozegbe.

You people just talk emotionally without engaging your faculties! What is rigging? You cannot force yourself on a people where you are not wanted. That a minority don’t want you does not mean you rigged. Is it not people that voted? Did anyone force them to vote for the winner? Taking gala and maltina is not rigging. That is inducement. Inducement and rigging are 2 different things. Rigging is the alteration of the electoral results in a a manner that does not reflect the vote of the people.

If I give you gala and you vote for me that is not rigging. Nobody forced you to collect the gala, nobody forced you to vote for me and nobody changed the result of your vote.

That you voted for me because of gala is not rigging, that’s voter inducement. 2 different things. Again nobody forced you to take the gala, nobody changed your vote!

Vote buying (voter inducement) is illegal but did anyone force anyone to collect gala?

America has gone far in democracy. American system has a structure that is hard to infiltrate though Trump is doing so from the back door. However, America political system is well solidified in their Democracy, guess that's why they are call the pioneer of democratic structure. All the Congress can never be bought over like we are having in Nigeria. There is no way a puppet and a rubber stamp senate President and speaker would be allowed to sit in the Congress. Impeachment would have stopped such things from happening. The problem of Nigeria is our political structures, it's full of corruption and ulterior motives, leaving loopholes to rig election. Just imagine the new amendment to the electoral law yesterday, the rubber stamp puppets in the National Assembly still block the electronic transmission of votes by INEC immediately after voting, politicians always looking for ways to do the wrong thing....
