Seunmuham:Since you have thrown more light on your use case + limitations, the below should work bettter and cheaper. Have added Lithium battery now since it's more of a Morning till early evening operation; unlike most that close around 9 or 10pm and later. 2pcs b]USEd[/b] 350w Solar panels @ 40,000 naira per panel = 080,000 1pcs USEd 12v 200Ah battery = 150,000 OR 12v 100Ah Lithium based battery = 200,000 12v 2kva or 3kva (sachet) inverter = 150,000 half Bundle of Made in Nigeria Cable = 009,000 1pcs DC surge protector = 009,000 1pcs Circuit breaker = 007,000 1pcs b]USEd[/b] 40A / 60A MPPT charge controller = 050,000 installation = DiY + disturb those that allow you to. NB: 1. The charge controller is only required if the inverter is not hybrid. 3. You need either leadAcid or Lithium battery, not both. 4. the 100Ah lithium battery, though small in capacity should work since operation is mostly during the day + while She's going home, could go with the battery if She can carry it or keep it in Shop or building of another person that's more secure. This should be done daily except the area is secure enough that such low level thieves are not much an issue. |

favouredbymercy:but 2pcs of 525w would be too big both in space and handling and we don't even know if it's those shops that while you standing, you could somehow see on top the roof. |

Seunmuham:700k is good enough for this use case. PowMr 1000w 80A MPPT Hybrid Solar Inverter = 220k 3 units of Africell 200watts = 120k C Worth 12.8V 1.3kwh battery = 240k Cables and miscellaneous = 40k Total = 620k You can run this stuff yourself without needing any installer. |

eddycurrent:Ah this is advanced feature na that mostly comes with high end inverters. Optionally, I think there are third party plug ins that can give you such data too. I'm not completely certain though. Others will give their input. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AyobamiOluwole: 10:50am On Feb 05 |
favouredbymercy:Thanks. That’s a mistake. Obviously the 700k is just enough for the use case. |

osayuwamwen:Don't mind those telling you that you wasted money, this particular battery has been on my list of things to buy. They are very good and complete capacity, I wanted to buy the 12v 640ah 250a(BMS) version but it's not on jumia right now. Just go to YouTube and watch review of this battery you will smile. |

mjblinks:Don't know about "jcns inverter" 2pcs of 260w solar panels is enough BUT would suggest you instead buy 2pcs of 350w or 400w solar panels. The price different might not even be more than 5,000 naira sef if buying used. if possible, would suggest you buy the solar panels USEd. To me, personally, anything brand new solar panel, love the minimum to be 500w else I see it as waste of money. Also chances of buying fake or adulterated capacity is almost non existent in sizes less than 400w solar panel. |

bassdow:You can actually use log type called the Pin Log. I saw your response below. That's may not be fully correct. If you get the appropriate Pin Log for the cable size, you won't need to shred off part of the strands. The "cup" takes the full cable strands while the pin side goes into the right connecting hole/point. Same for the ring type |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 2:08pm On Feb 05 |
mjblinks:get at least 400w for future upgrade sake |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 2:10pm On Feb 05 |
Fakeisfake:yea I know but even at that, there's chance of still having to strip off some of the cable. What I've done on 2 occassions is to use 10mm from PV to breaker, then from breaker I use 2.5mm single core copper to the inverter's PV in. Did similar for the AC out BUT really, I kinda dislike such hack. The person who did it before had to cut off lots of strands just to fit them in. Wouldn't blame him much |

Thanks to all that contributed their input to my request and even ti those that were silly. I've bout the 4.2kva haisic hybrid inverter and hopes it serves me well. One more question. Do we have DC Ceiling fans for solar setup because I don't like standing fans. If yes, please recommend good brands and where I can buy

Betnomore:Dear friend. Honestly I didn't want to write you because I do not know you or the fellow you wrote to. But may I please advice you if you don't mind, there is nothing wrong being young like we all were at some point. As your post shows you are still young, I should say to you, no need coming to the public to express your experience dealings or young lad attitude. Sure I only read above but not sure what may have transpired btw both of you but learn to stay calm, learn people, public relationships and expressions and move on perticularly in public. You are not sure of the age, capacity, exposure, level of wealth/packaging, education and or status of the other person expecially when behind the keyboard as this. You or him may not be able to address each other hashly physically regardless the anger or style of dealing so I advice you to always look away if style of talk, proposal or volume of value does not tally with you... Again, I don't know both of you but no need for this last public expression really. Someone already typed above "I miss the days of etc" just after one of your writeup and that means alot. Meanwhile, congrats on your new purchase and make sure to enjoy same after proper installation... As per your question, what people are going for now are the energy savers. Qasa or the likes. There is also the ceiling version but not sure now but standing would serve you right if and when placed at the right corner for use |

I appreciate your words but first of all assuming I'm one young lad sounds disrespectful. That's just the way I see it, you might not mean it that way. I be family man with 3 kids. You failed to address when @f.u**kboy said he would even block me if he was the one I sent a message. I said earlier in my previous post that I don't want to talk about the matter that it could just be clash of egos but @f.u**kboy out of nowhere just assumed that I'm in the wrong. I asked how will I get the inverter in ikorodu and the guy said rider will bring it which I didn't object to. And I asked him is it pay on delivery or escrow. Next thing, d guy just said I should come down to Alaba to pick it up. Worse worse, he would have said bro I don't do pay on delivery and if I get enough people to vouch for him here, I can decide to proceed. How am I in the wrong for asking for a secure method to safeguard my money to complete the transaction. I have attached our chat so that there won't be any misunderstanding Fakeisfake:
