I can understand convocation but should people be celebrating matriculation


People wey fit graduate with Last Class or no even graduate at all.

To me, it is always the unserious or unfocused that indulge in such foolish act.

Even if you dont look for trouble in a university, sometimes troubles look for you.

So, it is hard work to put in place and not starting with matriculation party distractions.

May their souls rest in perfect peace

Throughout my uni. days, God knows I never participated in any of those useless extra stuffs. Enjoyed my stays with friends. Who get time for those nonsense.

I thought as much. At 22 he is following 18yr old celebrate freshers.

I gained admission at the age of 21yrs back then. We were the OG’s in the department. We went to freshers no doubt but we the OG’s all sat in the back observing😁

I swear. Don't mind the guy. Some people that have almost everything handed over to them, hardly understand what life really is.

it's so unfortunate that children leaves their sponsors home to go and study for a brighter future but they allow the society to influence them and are engaged in activities that would ruin their lives.
if care is not taken, they haven't swim before but just wanted to feel among.

Everybody's time table is not the same. I had my BA at 19 but the best graduating student in my class was over 40 years. He now has his PhD while I am doing my MSc in my 30s.

So you never can tell the path that led the matriculant to enter the university at 22.

Hotel pool on matriculation day? Incredible. Total loss of focus.
In our time at Ife, a dramatic lecturer may fix a test or assignment on the matriculation day or a day after, just to ensure you don't get too carried away with the activities of the day
