I think neither Muslims nor Christians should henceforth be made king in Yorubaland; if you're not a strong jujuman like Igboho, you're not fit to be Oba. |

Freshandfitpod:Lol? Leadership without security? If you can't secure your community, you're bound to be enslaved. Why do you think strong men were made kings in the olden days? |

Shebi is a taboo for a yoruba king to open his head naked in the public, Secondly all this political kings in small areas without their own full security outfits, it's a disgrace to we all yoruba lineages to be hearing of kidnapping royal fathers, we have lost the traditional and cultural powers of our forefathers, it's a pity the so called fulani now kidnapp our royal fathers, could any yoruba or Igbo can do such things to the royal fathers in the northerners. |

One of the beliefs presented to us in our youth was that traditional rulers, like the kings, possess significant spiritual power and can be protected from danger by their spiritual powers. There was a claim then that these kings can vanish when in danger. Also, there was one belief that gun bullets cannot penetrate their bodies. However, in recent times, there have been many cases of kidnappers abducting traditional rulers, and these so-called powerful kings or traditional rulers do not engage in any spiritual resistance against the kidnappers. Instead, they resort to paying ransoms to secure their release. |

Ashirioluwa:If the British could capture and imprison them, then kidnappers can do the same. It means there is a limit to the efficacy or potency of juju when faced with modern power/technology. |
