It's common sense. It's only one sun and several planetary bodies in the orbits. What you see and called "sun" are only reflections from the main Sun from other planetary bodies.

Even the moon gets its lights from reflections from the sun - the moon itself doesn't produce light not heat and can only reflect what comes from the sun.

The "Sun dog" phenomenon in the Jos case study is very faint though.

Learned something new. It can’t happen where I live. This place too hot.

I never said the sun is a reflection. I said the sun generates lights that are reflected on other planets. We get day and nights as the earth revolves around the sun, right? The earth doesn't generate its own light, it's all reflection from the sun that gives us day and night. That was what I meant.

Yea, it is not a new phenomenon, Yoruba called it aja osupa . Aja olorun. It also happens to the moon . It just a reflection of the sun or the moon in a prism manner. It is a light reaction.
