Thanks for the input. Have you used it before or you have experience about the product? Does it blow well like the regular big ceiling fan? Thanks Fremlin: |

Between sako 2kva 12v inverter and Luxsun 2kva 12v inverter, which is better and recommendable. Sako has a power factor of 0.8 while Luxsun has 1 on its specification which I doubt. Can someone who uses or has used it confirm it. Luxsun also did not give the conrinous power/surge power. Other good and better inverters in the 2kw 12v category are welcomed. |

cyif2003:e dey. I get person wey wan sell like 6pcs BUT for this phone charging business, abeg leave tubular batteries. If you must buy leadAcid based battery, buy dry cell. But if the place is not safe enough, buy a small capacity Lithium based battery of 100amps solong it's of good enough quality so while going home, She carries it home or keep it in another house or shop safer than her own shop. Battery na hot cake Ooo. Since She works more like morning and afternoon and closes early towards the evening, the 100amp Lithium based battery should be okay. Don't spend more than 150,000 naira on inverter |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by cyif2003(m): 10:14pm On Feb 05 |
But there is not real way to check if a used tubular battery is still in great condition ... |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by osayuwamwen(m): 10:36pm On Feb 05 |
If you are getting a used tabular battery try buy luminous, I used my luminous battery for 3years and he still they carry me well almost like wen I bought it, I sold it a weeks ago after I bought lithium battery cyif2003: |

Betnomore:Qasa has energy efficient ceiling fans, that's what I use. Very low power consumption and they come with remote controls |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Seunmuham: 11:46pm On Feb 05 |
dollarnaira:Good question, I've thought about and hadn't really come up with final solution, but first this is sure, the system will be in a 16mm metal cage. If not for heat I'll experiment concrete casting the metal cage. But that might cause fire. So just a good metal cage and wooden barrier. One can't easily tell how noisy, unexpected and hard a good 2x6 beam barrier can be untill you try going for the job without a good hammer and crowbar. Or what's your suggestions |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:03am On Feb 06 |
xzynwa:most inverters with power factor of 1 are either super expensive or hybrid ones. That's if that value is Redal though you could manually try to calculate though I haven't done such before. Also, non hybrid inverters handle |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:08am On Feb 06 |
Seunmuham:Boys dey follow block wall, or Ceiling / roof enter shop Ooo. A metal cage might not even do much because they could either dig it out of the ground and carry it to where ever it is they can open it up. once again, if said place ain't safe, better to get a 100amps Lithium based battery (yea wouldn't last as long as the 400amps but would be much lighter in weight) so you would be bale to move about with it while coming to Shop or going Home. Alternatively, if you have a nearby shop or house that's safe enough, you could arrange with them so you could keep it with them instead of your shop. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:09am On Feb 06 |
osayuwamwen:not only about brand name BUT current condition of said battery. I currently have lots of good batteries from quality brand. I would only sell them off after I have used the H-E-L-L out of them so much even to power a torch light might be an issue. AnyOne who buys such just because it's from a reputable brand don enter oneChance |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:12am On Feb 06 |
cyif2003:there is. Something as simple as capacity testing should suffice |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Betnomore: 1:25am On Feb 06 |
Thanks for your input. I guess I'll go for it. The two brands I'm seeing online are Qasa and Duravolt. Since nobody here has mentioned Duravolt, I'll go with Qasa. What do I need to watch out for? Are there fakes? So that I'll know where to buy from adibo: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by senator282: 6:37am On Feb 06 |
osayuwamwen:As long as you avoid overloading the inverter, inverters hate overload. Sms inverters are mostly HF (high frequency, transformerles) inverter,i use low frequency(transformer base)inverter,I also prefer low frequency inverters. |

Good morning house, on a budget if N1M and according to the replies to my previous question to run 4 ceiling fans, 8 lighting points (10w) which ll definitely drop at night, one 65" TV, and a freezer during the day, then phones/powerbank and PC occasionally. This is what I intend getting 1. 12v 1.5kva hybrid inverter (Haisic/Bread) 2. 12v 4kwh battery from Reed 3. 2 500W+ solar panels 4. Acessories and installation Please can this setup run efficiently considering the load listed? Can it be easily expanded incase of extra load? And please Bread/Haisic which to go for? Thanks |

Betnomore:Na why I look away from the Group most times. You never post all the Jamb questions and recommendations and the free consultation and professional advice I spent time explaining. You seek free advice, I sent you original pictures and specifications, you took the picture and started looking for where its cheaper. And used to Payment on delivery as excuse, we understand tone and genuine buyers during conversations and can distinguish between rippers.. You bought from those who has no technical knowledge to offer, you actually got what you paid for. In the end community will assist you anyways. You were not my client so move on abeg. |

oluchibabe:first of all, No one among us or anyWhere on planet earth would tell you He / She is not trustWorthy or inExperienced . Now you would have to include your closest location e.g Oshodi in Lagos, or Lekki phase 1 in Lagos. Abeg no just talk Oshodi because no be everyBody know say Oshodi na name of a place, let alone whatt part of Nigeria e dey. So tell us the exact location first, then mySelf and any other interested persons could contribute. My self resides in both Lagos and Ogun state and that no mean say I no fit go Abuja go work Ooo but... |

DavisBloom:1. Would it work ? Yes 2. Would it work well ? Depends on definition of "WELL" 3. Would it work efficiently ? YES but depends 4. Are there better options ? Yes 5. What better options are available ? use 24v or 48v 6. But my budget is just 1-million naira. Your 1 Million naira can still get you 24v or 48v except you would have to buy somethings used 7. Anything else I should know ? upgrade your Fans to DC; Switch off the freezer by 4pm; 8kwh battery instead of 4kwh; use energy saving or DC bulbs; be stingy with your loads. Hopefully your freezer ain't power hungry. See eh, If that 1-million naira is your max Budget, put am for special bank account e.g Stanbic IBTC https://www.stanbicibtcfundsmanagement.com/invest-now-l8yyj3l8 so e generate about 200,000 naira and above on yearly basis. That way, by next year, even if you don't add any extra money to it, e go don turn to 1,200,000 and if you still decides to leave it for another year, e go turn to like 1,500,000 naira. at end of the day, you take from the accrued interest to buy your Solar system while your 1,000,000 naira remains unTouched or use both to arrange a much bigger solar setUp |
