This is the way forward. Please also ensure that the proprietors do not use their staff as their domestic staff. There is a school I know that the owner of the school used her teachers to routinely clean her house and cook for her as well.... With the same salary. We need to checkmate how these people use their workers to benefit them. |

JASONjnr:Should the way forward not be the employment of enough teachers to make education free for all children in the state that has been ruined for 27 years by APC progreThieves? What are they doing with the 100 times increase in budget and IGR, if they can’t provide free education for all children ![]() |

If the approval was free without tasking the schools financially I will take Lagos serious. Lagos government is all about generating income. |

anonimi:What we do is push the money to states to increase states budget so that development that you seek will come from your governor as well as LGA budgets too. So while you're worried about teachers employment, most states are already making plans to employ enough staff in the school. This is a development that ought to be looked into. The private schools. They're not properly vetted and you will be the same person to call Tinubu's name when they go out of control. That's why I don't take your criticism serious anymore.... |

okomile:Just thank God for the high number of private schools. Ask yourself, how many government schools do you see in your locality? Has the government that is giving standards for approval of private schools done well in their own public schools? When you go to some public schools, omo, they are worse than waste sites. Nobody is supporting illegality on the side of some unregistered or unapproved private schools. But think about it: if public schools were doing well, do you think parents would patronize private schools? By the way, how many public schools do we even have? Government is just playing to the gallery |

We actually need to close down Private schools and I'm happy to explain why: We have too many and most of them should not exist as they don't have the right facilities or right motives for existing. All schools are for profit and a lot of proprietors are putting profits over quality. Even in schools where they're paying N300,000/term for primary school. What we should do as a nation is to upgrade govt schools to the level of a CIS or BIS or Meadow Hall, fully equipped with well-apid and trained teachers. Then subsidise education. Defund private education and leave it to handle special cases only or tutoring academies. Because education should not be a private enterprise, it leads to bad outcomes for society. The wealthy can afford top education and the poor can't. Every single advanced country made it via making education the same standard for all. |

Majority of parents register their children in private schools because of transportation. Government schools are still the best for learning. Yea, infrastructures in state learning centers are deteriorated, but teachers tutor with precision and formation there. qtx: |
