However some Obidients do not want the protest to be about the Obidients Movement. They are attacking Peoples' Gazette for labelling it Obidients Protest.

Other Obidients are tagging other ADC leaders like Atiku and Bolaji Abdullahi and asking them why they are not protesting.

Some Obidients are asking why there is no date and time in the notice.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by sailor2011(m): 9:28am On Feb 06
The unruly mob knows that AA and other rogue elements in the ADC will not showcase themselves easily like that to avoid being dealt with by the Government in power..so , they limit themselves to tweeting behind keyboards..🤣😚🤣🤣😁😁

Nigerians should stand for free and fair elections
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by EponObi(f):
Nice one! This is the way to go!!!

Opposition no by cho cho cho or tweeting bangers all year long.

Time to test una synergy, morale, political willpower, and unity.

And Obi must be on ground. If not, it's all a waste of time. If you say you want the presidency, even if you are grossly incompetent, at least show some nerve. Let us see if your ball can do "woroworo" 😂

If that protest flop, Obi and the obidents are in trouble. It will first of all spill into the AMAC election in Abuja this month.

And if una like do mumu go dey trend Impeach Akpabio... 😂 Knowing distraction and tactlessness isn't far from una, I won't be surprised if you go through that route.

Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by kolafolabi(m): 9:35am On Feb 06
This reads like a rallying cry rooted in hope and vigilance. It channels frustration into collective belief and reminds people that democracy survives when citizens stay engaged, peaceful, and principled. If that energy stays focused on unity, lawful action, and protecting institutions rather than individuals, it can be a powerful force for positive change.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by SmartPolician: 9:35am On Feb 06
This is something Atiku and Obi should be doing! This political madness must not continue!

This is the only way to go. We must think beyond this election or because your person is currently in power. Presidency is not the only position being contested for. We have other elections and the only way to hold these people accountable is through a credible election. We need a strong election so that only the majority will have their way through a free and fair contest. Free and fair doesn't mean that Obi or Atiku or opposition must win. It's a way to put who ever wins in check.

Occupy national assembly until the right thing is done.

Why must the court always declare winners when we can get it right through proper legislation.
E transmission must be mandatory. We can't say because network is not in 5% of areas and put 95% other area at the evil hands of manipulators.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by FSBoperator: 9:38am On Feb 06
The bill did not ban electronic transmission but only did not make it a mandatory requirement for the obvious reason that there could be network issues.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by Macphenson: 9:39am On Feb 06
This protest is long over due. They shouldn't limit it to Obedient protest. It is a call for National Liberation. No Mandatory electronic transmission of results, no election. Enough of the rogues taking us for granted.

The best way to clean our polluted political space is by having a free, fair and credible elections.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by DeltaBachelor(m): 9:39am On Feb 06

Macphenson:

They don't even have that in the US of A that you all worship.

The amended bill is aware that there could arise technical issues in relying on transmitting the results .

If the bill only calls for digital uploads, then what happens in areas with no network coverage or where one encounters poor service?

The bill still has provisions to transmit directly to iREV servers but does not make it mandatory since there are tens of thousand of polling units in rural areas were there is no network.
Re: Obidients Plan Protest At National Assembly by dgr8truth(m): 9:47am On Feb 06
I have observed that some people are resorting to abuse and unfair language. This course benefits every Nigerian—except those who choose not to be patriotic.

Election results should reflect the will and choices of the people, not manipulation. Leadership must be based on a genuine mandate; if anyone is to lead, it should be by the consent of the governed. Sadly, some individuals within the so-called executive are pulling strings, believing they are acting on behalf of the president.

We must take the process of leadership recruitment very seriously. Otherwise, as has always been the case, the consequences will eventually affect everyone.

To those insulting the Obedient movement today, this is bigger than politics—it is about the future of our country. We must rise above division and unite to build a strong, collective citizens’ voice for the benefit of tomorrow.

ezekins:
Nigerians should stand for free and fair elections
. election in Nigeria cannot be free and fair when we have leaders and politicians that are too desperate to win election and acquire power by fire and by force.. that is why we see lot of snatching of ballot boxes, destruction of voting polling units, manipulation of election results, vote buying , hoodlums attacking opposition parties voters, rigging during election all because of the desperation of our politicians to win election and acquire power by force and illegally..as for now you can see how politicians are too desperate to win 2027 election..so electronic voting is the solution to a free and fair election not manual voting where results will be changed and manipulated

What do they have to hide or what is their intent that they don't want to make it mandatory?

Network reason is just a flimsy clumsy excuse
