The way it is coined attempts to create sensation. Ongoing projects does not need to be added as many projects are not necessarily completed in a year. The focus should be on the undone projects, fraudulent and "abandoned" projects, from the breakdown that is 662 projects out of the 2760 projects. Which is about 25% of projects and worrisome if true.
For the undone projects, which takes 491 out of 662 projects with concerns, we should be askinh if funds were actually disbursed for the projects? It is not all projects in a budget that ends up getting funding in a limited income situation.
leave matter Bros. I have worked on this budget thing a few times I can tell you for free that A LOT OF PROJECTS TAGGED ONGOING are actually given that tag fraudulently. It is not uncommon to see same project tagged ongoing in 3 consecutive budget years while in reality that project hasn't even started or has been completed. Naija na cruise my brother.

Are you sure this statistic is correct because what was said to be the total amount in this stats is not even upto 5% of total budget. The bulk of the projects are over 30% completed while about 65% is ongoing. So does the stats mean by saying half. People should apply their wisdom before posting comments blindly.

No matter how you put it, the sensation is well deserved. Even by your estimates, Nigeria is a failed nation

How would anybody just sit down and be saying that half of the budget are fraudulent. He should show proof.

Are you calling constituency projects fraudulent? Yes, we have some projects that were poorly executed but I tell you many were well executed for the benefit of the community/constituency. The importance of these is that it helps to deliver dividends of democracy to the constituency bcoz state governments may not think of such or reach the constituency in decades.

…….especially useless Nigerian progreThieves trying to get access to our commonwealth huh

Can you imagine what Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Crooks, APC complained about in 2015? How much per litre do you think Nigerians are being forced to pay as subsidy for APC’s massive corruption in their oil sector now, 11 years later?

anonimi:
Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

I wish Tinubu would just allow Obi to run this country for 2 years and see if Obi will not be stoned by Nigerians.

If anyone wants to fix this country, he must start from the basis bcoz the economy was in a dysfunctional way when Tinubu was sworn in.

Today, all impediments have been removed and we have crossed the rubicon.

Tinubu, the EFCC and the ICPC must address this glaring thievery urgently.

This is a serious indictment on the current administration.

People must be called to account for these daylight robbery.

What do you expect from a fraudulent government? I We still have a long way to go as a nation. Is well.
This has always been the norms in Nigeria since yore.
Yes,all Nigerian govts have always been fraudulent with very fraudulent National Assembly who had always padded the budgets with fraudulent items.
If you call this Tinubu govt that is executing numerous projects all over the 6 geopolitical regions of Nigeria, what will you call Saghari,IBB,Obasanjo,Yaradua,Jonathan etc govts?
If all the previous govts did half of what Tinubu is doing today,Nigeria would have grown phenomenally.
