Kwankwaso’s Son Resigns as Kano Commissioner for Youth and Sports

Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of former Kano Governor and NNPP national leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has resigned as Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and member of the Kano State Executive Council under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

In a statement released today, Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso announced his resignation with the following words:
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and Member of the Kano State Executive Council.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to serve the great people of Kano State. I have cherished the experiences and lessons gained while serving, and I appreciate the trust placed in me.

“As I resign, I pray that the youth of Kano State will continue to receive the attention and support they deserve. I hope for the best for our sports development programs and initiatives, and I am confident that they will flourish in the years to come.

“May Allah (SWT) continue to shower His blessings on our beloved Kano State. I wish the government and people of Kano State all the best.”

At the end of the day, Yusuf will struggle like Gandollar but he’ll win reelection. Kwankwaso will get the same number of votes in 2023 as VP or Presidential candidate. Tilumbu gets the same votes or less

Knao votes are not about the votes Kwankwaso gets. It is the votes the main opposition doesn't get.

Kwankwaso Got 997k votes
Tinubu got 517k
Atiku got 131k

Only Tinubu and Atiku were competing to win and it is clear with a 380k difference, Kano did well and the APC were happy with the number.

Come 2027, no one knows Kwankwaso's move yet. Is he going to contest for presidency under NNPP or decamp to either PDP or Labor.

If he contests again, it will be another major blow to Atiku and Obi as he will be splitting their votes and causing then headaches like 2023.

But if he support wither candidates, can he deliver such numbers when he isn't on the ballot?

Another question is if Obi emerges the candidate of ADC will he use Kwankwaso as VP and leave the NE open to easy picking for APC?

Kwankwaso may be a political giant in Kano, but the same cannot be said when it comes to National politics. On the national front, only 3 names matter: Tinubu, Obi and Atiku; and Kwankwaso is no where near these three. 😎

It's actually surprising that governor left ANPP because he has a good chance of winning in ANPP , hence, there was no need to cross to another party.

I won't be surprised if he was actually Lobby and other promises to cross, hence Qwaqwaso feel betrayed

So,
Kwankwaso has installed himself and 2 governors in kano

Tinubu gained nothing from going behind Kwankwaso's back to poach his governor in the middle of negotiations. Maintaining the status quo would have served him better. Abba comes with no real structure of his own. He will now be relying on an already divided APC bloc of Barau and Ganduje while creating additional resentments. Expect silent revolt and protest votes. The opposition will get good votes from Kano this time irrespective of what Kwankwaso does. Tinubu has been tried and the verdict is out there, especially in the North.

APC still have bigger hurdles to climb, the talks about replacing Shettima for a Northern Christian are not just mere rumours. It is still in play and complicates all your permutations further.

Yet, these people will deceive the gullible that they want to rescue Nigeria.

If you search now, you will discover that the son has never done any other job before.

Apt however no sane northerner will support Kwankwaso as VP.
They knew that Kwankwaso is Tinubu's mole, so they will never trust him.
Many of them knew that he worked for Tinubu in 2023
