Young man, Nigeria is not ready for what they are demanding for.
Most of you don't even know you are demanding for
Nigerians are demanding for what is obtainable in a good number of countries around the globe.
It shouldn't be be a crime to want progress.

Can you explain the readiness? Is there internet in every village, or their votes should not count because there's some mandatory internet need?
Stop all this excuses of no Internet in all villages. Inec can get gadgets that can bring Internet in anywhere their staff conducting elections. So with this ur mindset, we will continue like this.

Please tell us how many countries are doing this?
You could have googled this before telling yourself lies.

Neither do villagers know about the decisions their representative made. The few internet warriors that know whose were supposed to be heard went silent

Laying ground foundation for smooth rigging.
Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by Whalis: 6:58am On Feb 07
For me let states decide on the basis of their capabilities. North can decide to use the manual methods while states down south can move to electronic transmission. Election is not as violent in the north as it is in the South. In the north Shagari Murktha can tell the whole of Shagari village where to vote and all of them will comply. This is not possible in the South. This is what brings about violence when anyone tries to manipulate the results. South can move ahead.
Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by Diligence: 7:00am On Feb 07
So South Africa has been, Rwanda don dey transmit, but giant of corruption, rigging is not. Are U fuzz really ready for the outcomes in 2027?

Nigeria's internet coverage is put today at about 40-45% ...

Meaning more than half is yet to be covered.

Why not give a time frame for results to be uploaded in areas where there is no network....say, 3 hours after elections...for example.

Results can be snneped and stored and it will synchronize automatically where you have network...just as the BVAS works as of now.

Putting the clause Real Time....will subject the clause to many legal interpretations... because, the real time is not yet workable.
Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by blackmantis: 7:14am On Feb 07
With solar and starlink this talk is obsolete.

All 700+ local govt with starlink can transmit results in real time.

If only Obidense knew the meaning of “in real time” this conversation wouldn’t be up for debate, knowing the current state of the country’s internet penetration and accessibility

Most of you don't even know you are demanding for.

When you say Real-time it means it can not be uploaded hours after, when you say compulsory it means any results the isn't uploaded realtime becomes invalid.

Now that invalidates results coming from rural areas with access to network.

And the world compulsory makes any votes collated manually invalid.

Lack of basic education has actually destroyed the young people in this country.

They are many villages around the country without network access.
Don't villages will not be able to upload the results real-time and even if they take the papers to the centres or INEC office, the results will not be accepted because they are not real-time.....

You young people should think, exercise your brains
PLS QUOTE ONE VILLAGE IN NIGERIA' WHERE PHONE IS NOT BEING USED.

SECONDLY, I PITY HOW THE YOUTHS ARE WASTING THEIR ENERGY AND FUTURE ON FRIVOLOUS THINGS.... IMAGINE THE ENERGY THEY EXPEND ON ISSUES ABOUT WIZKID AND SEUN OVER FELA AND OTHER SUNDRY ISSUES ON THE INTERNET DAILY. ... That's an obsolete talk.

Inverter, solar panel, power bank can handle electricity issue

Startlink satellite can handle internet coverage even inside a hole.

Those who are beneficiaries of rigging will never support the e transmission of results
Thank you very much.. This is beyond party politics or we support.. This is about the progress of the country that generation coming will benefit from.. There should be a fine line between partisanship and loyalty to the country..

But we are ready to tax the hell out of Nigerians

We are ready to implement 20% tax on income.
Ready for VAT of 7% on all consumables.
Ready to categorised Nigerians into band A to C and increase the price of electricity.

We are ready to demolished makoko without any plan for resettlement of the displaced.

But aren't ready to do the right thing....which other African countries have already implemented

Real time transmission is necessary As this prevent tampering of result sheets during physical transport from polling units to collation centres where all d evil happens
Let's even keep the devilish taxation aside. BVAS was made and equipped with that capacity to transmit result in real time. So what the hell is the unfortunate former governor is saying if not the usual gibberish they, spew toc shamelessly support corruption openly. A ruling misleading class indeed.

Ode. U saw how they are using tax payers money to fund oshio-omo-Ole flamboyant life style in a private jet with a lady from South Africa. Or is it the one where Bulaba is using to travel to France for medical tourism, and junketing the globe wasting tax payers money.

after the removal of fuel subsidy, what has been the benefit for the suffering people? Nothing, but the people continued to suffer paying for high cost of good and services while the evil govt of the day are buying SUVs for themselves, and living life with reckless abandon.

May it not be well wit u and them....ise!

What?
Have your political affiliations impeded your ability to reason?
I dont want to belive you sat down and typed this!
How do bandits and boko members make videos and post them real time for the world to watch in areas referred to as 'remote'?
As long as you can make calls around that area, tranmitting a result sheet that isn't up to 200kb will swiftly get there!
We really have a serious problem in Nigeria!
Nah wa ohh!

There you go sir.

Polling place electronic voting or Internet voting examples have taken place in Australia,[1] Belgium,[2][3] Brazil,[4] Estonia,[5][6] France, Germany, India,[7] Italy, Namibia, the Netherlands (Rijnland Internet Election System), Norway, Peru, Switzerland, the UK,[8] Venezuela,[9] Pakistan and the Philippines.[10]

Bro no mind them!
Their ignorance is due to their political affiliations!
Electronic transmission of results will automatically give citizens the power to choose their leaders which most of the national assembly members are afraid of!

Exousiang01:
The one major problem we have in Nigeria is ignorance.

The opposition leaders are not ignorant, they know what they are asking for cannot work, but they also know the kind of followers they have, they those set of things don't think, they know whatever they say will be taken hook-line-sinker.

Ask them how many of the 1st world countries with centuries of advanced tech than Nigeria are doing real-time and they won't be able to mention.....

Many are ignorant of the true meaning of words "Compulsory" and "real-time" in this context

Please can you show us where the countries who are doing it "REAL-TIME" and "COMPULSORY"......

Well these guys pushing you lots know you won't take note of those two words
You sound educated and at the same time uneducated.. I'm shocked

We the real tax payers are not complaining. How much was your tax in the month of January? You complain about what has little or nothing to do with you.

What are the implications of real-time and what are the advantages and disadvantages. Let's know what it means and it's huddles before we argue. Fix Nigeria fix Nigeria and the government is still joking.
