Legendary Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has admitted that he is lagging behind in his fatherly duties.

The singer, who has eight children from four different women, disclosed this in a recent episode of the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.

2Baba said he wants to do better as a father, stressing the importance of a present father figure in children’s upbringing.

He, however, noted that he wishes to keep his personal life private.

“I want to really contribute to society positively. I want to be among those who make something meaningful happen. I want to contribute my own little quota to help society. I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more. However, privacy is very important,” he said.

2Face has two children with his first baby mama Sumbo Ajaba-Adeoye, three with his second baby mama Pero Adeniyi, two with his ex-wife Annie Macaulay, and one with his current wife Natasha Osawaru.

2Face’s admission is honest and commendable. It takes courage for a public figure to openly admit shortcomings, especially on something as sensitive as parenting. Many people would rather pretend everything is perfect.

Someone should remind tu face that sex isn't solely for pleasure, but procreation.

Nothing commendable about having multiple children with multiple women.
If he's a s*x addict, he could have used a condom and avoided having kids who he can't parent.

People here open their mouths wide waaaaa and wail about single mothers and yet hail this man who is a pure example of a creator of fractured homes where his baby mothers are raising the children while he gallivants looking for the next se xual Adventure.. Ohh and he has another one on the way, loool. He's just one person, there is no way he can spread himself round to be present sufficiently for this number of kids. So when he started creating broken homes, he must have accepted subconsciously that he wouldn't be a present parent.

It is the women who keep having the kids that I blame, they could have insisted on protection.

The absence of a father can be difficult for children.I can't Imagine being the child of a celebrity or celebrities whose dirty linen are exposed in blogs every 2 market days.

In the end, it is the children who are the true victims. They didn't ask for this. Somehow, I hope their mothers are able to raise them as best as they can and that suitable role models are available.
