We have moved closer to that goal as we had the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, commission the Orashi Electricity Company Limited 15MVA, 33/11KV Injection Substation, Owerri, the first phase of a bold power initiative that will light homes, energize businesses, and unlock productivity across the state.

This progress is anchored on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary leadership in signing the Electricity Act, empowering States to chart their own energy future, and approving the transfer of the long-abandoned Egbema Power Plant to Imo State, accelerating our journey to energy sovereignty.

The 45-kilometre distribution network will deliver stable electricity, ease the cost of doing business, and end the hardship caused by epileptic supply. Operated within the Orashi Energy Free Trade Zone and supported by over 200 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves, we are harnessing our resources to serve all 27 LGAs and drive sustainable growth.

Na Yam to be close to President? Appears to be one of Tinubus trusted hands. He was recently initially made APC convention Chairman until some Northern power brokers asked for different. Also led the delegation to save Fubara from impeachment . Very intelligent gov for his people. Meanwhile Otti is only depending on Barth Nnajis power.

Good one from Governor Hope Uzodinma. This is a commendable way to celebrate the golden jubilee rather than wasting over 2 billion on celebrations, which was the wasteful spend from one of the governors that also celebrated his state’s jubilee.

He has been very abysmal before June last year.
His closeness to the President maybe is resulting into something now but not before June last year. Again, he is not liked on the streets of Owerri.... Even if he builds skyscrapers, the man or woman on the streets of Owerri do not like Uzodinma. Well, they who are voters there know better.

Nobody knows what happened from last year and Otti is a fantastic Governor btw. leave chochocho, I wasn't his biggest fan pre-2023 but I can say for free he is doing well today. But they can deliver more for sure....
