Generator fumes are not fun o. Where possible, keep your generator far away. Carbon monoxide from your gen is odourless and colourless. Your blood has the same affinity for carbon monoxide that it does for oxygen. It doesn't know the difference and when carbon monoxide has entered your blood stream, it is pretty hard to dislodge.
Be careful out there.

That's what happens when people are desperate for money, they can sleep anywhere.

Nigerians and conspiracy theories someone cannot die without heads rolling or someone being responsible for the death.
What the family should ask for is for autopsy to be done to determine the cause of death, surely that is what the police will do, most likely it was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning as a result of generator fumes.
May their souls rest in peace and almighty grant the families the fortitude to bear the loss.

On February 2, 2026, a blogger known as Joes Media TV (first slide)who was widely recognized for promoting gospel artistes from various church groups, alongside three musicians, was invited by a woman identified as Olanireti Akinbola to perform at a three-day virtual birthday praise event at a studio in Ajah.

Due to the distance between the studio and their homes, they decided to stay overnight at the studio. Tragically, all four individuals were later found dead in their sleep.

Many questions have since arisen regarding the circumstances of their death. Speculations range from possible food poisoning to inhalation of generator fumes that may have been left running overnight. The woman who invited them is nowhere to be found and the studio management has not released any statement

The families of the deceased are demanding for justice and are calling on Nigerians for support. The police have not issued any official statement regarding the incident

I'm not sure it's generator fumes, might be suffocation since it's a studio which are mostly soundproof and airtight and many of them might have hallucinated before dying.

So... There's a recording booth and there is the studio itself, so the death did not happen in the recording booth because people don't sleep inside booths.

The deceased men slept and died outside the booth, meaning anything could have happened in those few hours. The studio manager or the host needs to come out of hiding and answer questions

I don't however quite buy the airtight studio bit because these places will still be designed with ventilation. Maybe they were using a small gen and decided to try and manage without the AC.

Since the police have not issued any statement, it might be, they want to conduct an autopsy on the bodies to ascertain the cause of death. From there, they'll know how to progress with the investigation.

Though the woman who invited them, shouldn't have bolted. It sends all kinds of wrong signal. Judging by our Nigerian mentality, she might have auctioned their lives to her coven members...

Stupidity of the highest order. Studio is meant for recording, the walls are padded and you do what you need to do there and leave the rest for the studio management. No singing continuously for hours in a densely choking environment.

Nigerian youths should go and get a life. This over religiousness is irritating.
Youths in China are inventing things, building, working and disciplined.
Ours here are trying to outdo themselves in religion and hope to be the next Jerry eze or Nathaniel Bassey.

but why did she run into hiding if truly she wasn't involved in their death?if it was generator fume (co2 inhalation)that killed them she should have gone to report herself in the police station she is even a female they will still be lenient on her compared to the opposite gender,a clear conscience fears no accusation!!

If generator was left on and the fume was entering where they slept then that could be the possible cause because CO binds to hemoglobin far more strongly than oxygen, so your body basically gets starved of oxygen even if you’re breathing air.
