We called it Umimi in our dialect,
It very peppery when eaten, especially when it has not yet ripen to that colour.

I used to detest it when I was small but now I enjoy eating it.

Fruit for the elders. In Akwa Ibom, they call it Nkalika—if I’m spelling that right! That’s actually where I tried it for the first time.

Dialets are differences in same base Language

Like in Igboland Anambra calls something IFE.
Abia calls it IHE.
Same language but different dialects.

You mean Ur own language, so maybe call it Native language NOT dialect.

Massive difference.
