It’s not your business who your child married. By all appearances Mohbad was not stupid or gullible. If the wife was that bad, Mohbad would have divorced her. If Mohbad was a nobody with nothing to his name, will DNA come up? One thing you people don’t realize is you can never disinherit a spouse in the court of law, except it is proven that she killed him. Targeting a child is just sensational gossip.

They should do the DNA test in one of the best hospitals in the UK or US, and the court clerk who will receive the report should be teleguided so that they will not go and clone or substitute the DNA report when the results arrive in Nigeria. I don't trust the court clerk....

In fact, both the paternal and maternal representatives should have access to the result from the source hospital and not from the court clerk.

It's a crime. I know a friend who went through it. The wife messed up while he was out of the country hustling for his young family. One time when he came back he heard the rumours and as a wise chap decided to run a DNA for all his four kids and guess what? One was not his. So requesting a DNA test is not and should never be taken as a slight on the woman but the right of the child and the family. Like some say o think a DNA testing should be mandatory like every other immunization done for newborns

It is up to men to ensure their affairs are in order before they die. She was his spouse at death so, still the one to inherit him. Marriage is very very complex and you cannot judge or take decisions as an outsider because you never know what the two decided.

Anyone whose priority is that another man not inherit him should do DNA at birth. Even if you do DNA for all your kids and die, another man can still inherit you, in fact complete strangers can still inherit your property. Some men even stand as fathers to kids that they know aren’t theirs from birth and their extended family never knows. It still won’t stop Wunmi from inheriting Mohbad unfortunately. Wise thing for the father should have been to make peace with all so he can get something since his son had no will. But everyone will learn a lesson with this case.
