I Denied Remi Tinubu My Platform To "Cover Up Christian Genocide" - Tony Perkins by WorkTheTalk(op): 8:50pm On Feb 08
American TV show host Tony Perkins has revealed that First Lady Remi Tinubu approached him to discuss religious freedom issues in Nigeria, but he rejected her request because he does not want his platform used to cover up for happenings in Nigeria.

Mr Perkins, who hosts Washington Watch, disclosed this during an edition with U.S. lawmaker Chris Smith on February 4, when religious freedom was discussed.

Mr Smith was speaking about President Bola Tinubu’s government denying the killing of Christians in Nigeria and yet hiring American lobbyists to downplay the issue when Mr Perkins revealed Mrs Tinubu approached him to be featured on his platform.

“The First Lady of Nigeria was here this week, and in fact, they wanted to come on the programme to talk about religious freedom, and I said, ‘I’m not gonna meet with them or have a meeting with anybody,'” Mr Perkins said.

The broadcast journalist added, “I’m not gonna give them a platform to cover up what they’re doing in Nigeria.”

The first lady did not immediately respond to Peoples Gazette’s request for comments.

Mrs Tinubu visited the U.S. and attended the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday. Her presence was recognised at the event by President Donald Trump, a development that pro-Tinubu supporters celebrated as a major diplomatic win for the Nigerian government amid pressure from the U.S. government.

Mr Tinubu has been under pressure from the American government since Mr Trump declared Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern over the alleged killing of Christians in November.

The first lady’s visit came months after Mr Tinubu splashed millions of dollars on Republican lobbyists to burnish his tainted reputation in Washington following Mr Trump’s 2025 remarks denouncing Nigeria as “a disgrace” under his leadership.

There is Christian genocide ongoing in Nigeria. Remi Tinubu will face the wrath of God if she continues on this path of denial. Her punishment will be more severe as a Pastor who has sided with the Islamists like JNI who are denying the genocide and threatening people who affirm that there is genocide against Christians. Her husband never visited the Christians of Yelewata or the Christians of Mangu who were gruesomely killed by the Islamists even though they are his own citizens. He couldn't come to their aid or comfort them when they needed the personal comfort and reassurance of their President. Tinubu can quickly dispatch military jets to prevent coup in another country but looks away when his own countrymen and women are hacked to death like animals and doesn't even act to bring the perpetrators to justice and yet someone is saying that this is no state-backed genocide! May God deliver Nigerian Christians from this horrific injustice going on.

sad thing is that so much money and resources is being wasted due to the divisive politics of the APC
Only God knows how much was paid to get airtime on fox news digital which isn't even the flagship channel for fox news
Imagine what $9m will do for the almajiris in the north or the struggling business owners in the east or the artisans in the west. Instead we're pouring it into countering IPOB whom we declared a terrorist but is getting steady embrace and visibility in the West.
IPOB has been around since 2010 to my knowledge and it never had any level of influence until the bigoted Late Buhari egged on by the ethnic supremacy clowns embedded in the APC chose to make a martyr of them. Today, they are shutting down a critical part of the country at will and even giving Nigeria a diplomatic headache.
$9m and more of subsidy removal money is now being spent on IPOB
It's a huge shame

Guy na IpOD start am. $9m is too small, Tinubu should be putting doe $1bn to match them propaganda for propaganda.

Good thing here is that Tinubu will be using crude oil proceed for it while IPOD will be sourcing for donation where they no fit match FG 1%.

When Tinubu leaves in 2031, don’t worry. We will all join in in propaganda to balkanize the country. Just be patient.

We will return everything you are doing to Tinubu government 25X after 2031. South West have the arsenal to do it, we are just resting now.

And this is a supposed "pastor" working against her conscience to please her husband,,, the blood of the murdered christian faithfuls in Nigeria will not let them sleep in peace.
Being a pastor doesn't mean the person is a Christian. There are many many pastors in hell. Let me tell you a story. In the Book of Judges, a man called Achan stole "accursed thing" Both he, his wife and children were stoned to death. Why? His wife knew he stole but never distanced herself from the theft, so his sin led to not just her death but the death of her children.

Christianity is not title. It is following and patterning life after Jesus Christ.

You Christians have been telling lies about a non existent Christian genocide and you are not happy Remi Tinubu refused to support your malicious lies. No one is targeting Christians because the insecurities is affecting everyone irrespective of religious beleifes. More Muslims have died from the insecurities more than Christians and you know it.

The insecurities in Nigeria stems from the the insecurities in the region of sahel that spilled into Nigeria and it was as a result of the fall of Libya after the country was bombed into chaos by the United states.

I'm a Christian but the truth is, there is no Christian genocide.
As a matter of fact, Muslims have been severely affected than Christians.
Bandits and terrorists knows no religion
