USA have 800 military bases outside of US. So, what's wrong with having one here? I thought that's what Peter Gringory Obi and his AaDC vultures clamoured for? Oh I get it, they in their evil minds do not even care about solving the insecurity in Nigeria but looking for a back door to attack Nigeria and remove Tinubu because the US president was fed IPOB propaganda BS? You started the propaganda BS but watch how it's going to end.

AMINDA:
Once you hear AFRICOM, just know it's about siting of a military base. Tinubu has bowed to Trump's pressure and is about to give the U.S go ahead to set up a military base in Nigeria. He's saving his own head while throwing that of our neighbours under the bus. So much for Pan-Africanism.
Re: President Tinubu receives US AFRICOM delegation at Aso Villa (Photos) by Jakumo(m):
The creation of a US military and drone launch base is LONG OVERDUE in Nigeria. Anyone who truly recognizes the importance of eradicating this rapidly spreading infestation of Islamist terror in Nigeria and all over West Africa, will agree that the US military is welcome in its capacity as the preeminent global power that remains a time-tested electoral democracy whose military cooperation with Nigeria will NOT result in the humanitarian calamities that Russia, China and Arab sheikhdoms inflict on indigenous populations wherever they meddle in the affairs of nations beyond their respective territorial borders.

Bola Tinubu has proved himself to be a consummate statesman and geopolitical pragmatist who recognizes the gravity of the Arab-funded Islamist terror threat that confronts so many African nations today in 2026. On behalf of all right-thinking, informed Nigerians, I heartily welcome Uncle Sam's elite troops and formidable military inventory, on Nigerian shores. Nigeria is ALREADY at war with a heavily funded conventional army that MUST be annihilated decisively before the country falls into the claws of bloodthirsty Islamist savages already committing massacres on a daily basis in Nigeria's northern badlands.

Really?

So the grand plan has changed? The US is no longer preparing to bomb Tinubu out of Aso Rock and ceremonially install Pitobi on the throne? How disappointing, one imagines some people had already written the inauguration speech.

Let us even grant, for the sake of charity, that the matter concerns the siting of a US military base in Nigeria. Is that not precisely what the handle-mops have been loudly advertising as their deepest yearning? Or has US suddenly fallen out of favor as well?

Whatever support we can get is highly welcomed at the moment, because the families of Nigerians dying daily don't care about how they are kept safe, provided they are safe and don't go through what they or their neighbors are going through again. It's now a fight for survival because we keep loosing Nigerians daily, and not from sickness, disasters etc but from criminal elements, so security should be treated with the utmost URGENCY, before we all turn to a country of refugees (Sudan, Congo, Syria etc).

With due respect, I think it's time Mr President get a stylist or hire another one if possible. The NSA, Minister of defense, military chiefs and others there are looking good in our attires. Even the NSA with same body type is looking proper.
I would be happy you give me this information, where in the world has US successfully fought insurgency and won. 50k, i am waiting.

Oga, you are know for nonsense. I thought you people said Trump has come to Nigeria to remove Tinubu and put your candidate. So, now that your propaganda failed you are now spewing out another one. Hope the money you are getting from Obi compensate enough for the time you are waisting for all the failed propaganda.

Succinctly stated. This is the type of analysis that gives me joy that NL is still populated by highly intelligent folks like @Jakumo.

As a man who has advanced knowledge of global geopolitical dynamics and counter-terrorism analysis for decades now, I'm on the same page with you with regards to everything you posted right there. Aside from the money got from zakat donations which these jihadi groups get from the Muslim faithfuls, and funds from crimes such as hard drugs trafficking and kidnappings,
the Arab Gulf states of the UAE, Oman, Qatar, etc, are CLEARLY one of the major sources of funding for these jihadi terror groups for protection against from attacks on their home soils by these jihadists such as Al-Qaeda, ISIS, and their deadly satellites and affiliates operating in Somalia as Al-Shaabab, in the West African Sahel region such as the JNIM jihadi group operating with their headquarters in Mali with more than half of Burkina Faso and Niger Republic already in the hands of JNIM. JNIM poses a BIGGER threat to Northern Nigeria and is even deadlier than BH and the breakaway jihadi faction of BH named ISWAP in the Lake Chad Region.

The highly IRRESPONSIBLE JNIM jihadi terror group is led by Tuaregs who worked for Muamar Gaddafi before he was taken down by French military forces and Libya caved into a Civil War. More than half of Mali is already in the hands of JNIM jihadists since the Russians got involved and the Westerners were expelled. The Tuaregs were originally fighting for a separate country of their own in Northern Mali and parts of Niger Republic.

So, the presence of the United States Military forces and indeed the whole world is needed to eliminate these jihadi terror groups from the West African Sahel region and also the foreign Fula militia bandits and the Tuareg-led Lakurawa bandits terrorizing Nigerian communities. This is NOT a battle for Nigeria alone due to the porous borders in all African countries. I give kudos to the gallant Nigerian Military forces so far because if NOT for them, Nigeria would have been completely overun by the jihadis. Advanced satellite tracking technologies, attack and surveilance drones including sonic weapons from the United States are the highly expensive but advanced weapons needed to defeat these jihadi groups.

This insightful and objective analysis delving deeper into the insidious agenda of West Africa's Islamist terror militias will add further value to the dossier of strategic information being compiled by US military analysts whose duties include perusing online forums to unearth and evaluate nuggets of information that will flesh out their panoramic threat overview which is already far more detailed than the aggregate of knowledge available to the Nigerian military.
