Spartacus house of Ashur is a solid 10/10 for me.
A worthy successor of the great Spartacus series.
It has everything you can ever think of.
Violence and gore 10/10
Sex and nude 10/10
Fight scenes 10/10
Storyline 8/10
Dialogues 10/10
Cinematography 10/10
Pictures 10/10
Every casts gave their all, you could tell they wanted the series to bang so bad just as there are numerous bangings in the series that got us wishing for more.
These people Left nothing untouched at all, though i find myself fast forwarding those brief woke moments between doctore and his lover.
I was glad the lover got killed though, it saved the rest moments of the series from uncomfortable work rubbish.

I am guessing and i am hoping that a Season 2 will be out by December or early next year.

The rise or fall of the house of Ashur must continue.

The night manager season 2 is a solid 1million/10

When season 1 ended, we thought there was no need for a season 2.
Even when season 2 was released, i saw people complaining of how unnecessary it is for a Season 2 but ladies and gentlemen as i dug into episode 1 of the season 2, that was When i realised that they are making a masterpiece.

This season 2 was a million times better than the Season 1.
The intensity from the episode 1 to the end was massive and heightened.
Much more deeper storyline and the twist both in episode 3 and the episode finale was unbelievable and unexpected.
This is how you shut doubters up.
Kudos to the writers and all the crew in making us now eagerly waiting for a Season 3.

I don't want to drop Spoilers but there are two deaths that got me a little bit emotional in the episode finale but it is what is it.

The world is not fair indeed.

Narcos S1 - S3. (2015-2017)

"*Next, I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the coc*ine back in!!- Elon Musk 28/4/2022.""

I was researching drug cartels focusing on the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel and Sinaloa Cartel then i remembered I had this in library, i locked in for 3 days, and it was some of the best 72 hours spent.

Mind you, i have seen Narcos: Mexico (2018) which i liked, so i just had to indulge in the precursor. There isn't a more charismatic, perhaps more determined drug dealer in history, than Pablo Escobar, and this show did excellent justice to the character.

I would like to see the show in 2 parts.

Part 1.
This part covered S1 and S2, exploring the rise of Don Pablo, as a small time smuggler, then he discovered white powder, and it changed his life forever. Within a short while, he became arguably the richest criminal in history, influence so great that anyone sniffing at that time, was probably sniffing Don Pablo's product. He had so much money and influence, that almost everybody in Colombia was on his payroll, the few who could resist, swiftly got a bullet, he coined the term "silver or lead".

Wagner Moura as Don Pablo was such a picture perfect casting, the physical resemblance wasn't all that uncanny but he carried the same chrisma and charm..just a top shelf performance.

Part 2.
S3.After the DEA and the Colombian govt toppled Don Pablo, i was wondering where exactly they where headed with it. Then again, Don Pablo, was so narcissistic, he didn't leave a successor, and the Cali Cartel swiftly filled the void and S3 was about their rise and fall. Started slowly, but episode 5 to 10 was some high octane edge of your seat stuff that if i put my feelings into words, i might actually get a ban!

As an opening credits aficionado, this one has an unskippable one. stills and reels from the actual event with Rodrigo Amarante's "Tuyo" playing was always a delight before each new episode.

There is a reason why drug cartel wars may never end, because I don't think the demand for drugs will ever end. Apart from degenerates and addicts, some of your fave people, need drugs to actually function, till, if they are not careful, they eventually become addicts, worse still degenerates themselves... it's a vicious circle. The reward for doping, comes directly from the brain's pleasure center, that's why it's difficult to stop, The high, has been akin to nutting, albeit that the reward for nutting last just seconds, but people can be doped out for days from a single session.

Anyway, this is a proper proper show and an easy recommend

8/10.

Don't know why I dodged this in its heydays when I actually watched and pretty enjoyed similar cartel shows like the mexican telenovela The Cartel. I guess it quickly got so big there was spin-offs, and felt it was too late to join cos of the multiple seasons to chew through.

I've had this on the watchlist for years.

So this Wagner Moura na don for years now? Seeing his high praise for his performance in Brazil's nominee The Secret Agent. Also one of my must see International flicks this year.

IT: Welcome to derry is a solid 5/10 for me. There was nothing spectacular about the way pennywise went about doing his business, like I no see one single hor, talk less of horror😄
It took me 2 weeks to finish, why? because it was boring as fk.
The children gan no even ginger me to show interest, especially that army man pikin 😒 lil dude was just pissin' me off with his acting, it looked to me like some amateur acting
There's a lot of killing nd maiming penny could have done before the final episode, not even enough screen time for the villain of a show, mehn!
Omo, hopefully season 2 will come with a better slap than the first. Abi na so pennywise go just die like that🥴

Rubbish talk!! grin grin

30 mins series has been in existence for as long as I know TV shows. The network shows are around that time, originally sef, TV shows started with 30mins output, and a few 45mins content. It is streaming/Netflix that invented the 1hr+ episodic format.

Folks that watch anime, na 20 mins per episode dem dey watch. No complaints.
Love, Death + Robots have episodes ranging from 6-20 mins and I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone about length even from the town crier.

All this talk na just agenda and cheap talk due to ignorance.

If you actually know the material they were adapting from, you wouldn't be saying this trash.
There's no way Dunk and Egg stories can give you the regular length as Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. It's just impossible. If we use that same metric, then A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms would be finished in just 2 seasons, and that's with massively stretching the story with fillers and shït.
You're listing series that releases multiple episodes at once or when you had 20 episodes for a season and you didn't have to wait more than a year for the next season. Waiting a whole week just for a 30 minutes piece, and finally six episodes is not it.
At the end of the day, it's done simply because it's a profit-maximizing strategy. There’s no solid reason other than that to plan five seasons when you know there isn’t enough source material to support them. Locking into that plan anyway suggests a lack of flexibility or confidence in the writers as without being spoon-fed then they'd do shit.
