Are Japan, Germany, South Korea etc still sovereign nations despite having US military bases there? The best thing that could happen to Nigeria is a full US military base here and not a mere drone refuelling station |

OLABAMIJI99:It is good when a country shows genuine concern towards other friendly country... such is the case of USA towards the mass killings in Nigeria... But as I earlier stated... there is no need of USA physical presence through their military in Nigeria... it may escalate the violence... If US military support is required by the Nigerian government... and the use of drones is vital... the US military can use their aircrafts carrier ships... with permission to be at a very far distance from Nigeria shore... this can be coordinated by the Nigerian Navy... Let's not start what we can not continue... behind US military request... China, France, Russia, Britain, Turkey... would follow suit to demand similar offer using different disguise... What Nigeria needs from friendly nations... is to seize wealth stolen by corrupt officials domiciled in their country... and jail these corrupt officials whenever they visit their country.... Therefore... there is no need of any foreign country ground base station in Nigeria... RENAISSANCE |

san4P:I believe most Nigerians support the base. It should be a full fledged base. Enough of the stupidity. What are your grievances against a permanent US base in Nigeria? Why do you oppose it? |

lawani:THERE WILL BE NO US MILITARY BASE IN NIGERIA. NOT TODAY. NOT EVER. UNDERSTOOD? IMPERIALIST'S MESSENGER. |
| Re: Is Nigeria Still A Sovereign Nation Having American Military Base In North? by lawani(m): 11:19pm On Feb 09 |
Kemetian:Are you sure? I think they already got approval for a drone refuelling station. That is a kind of base already. If the government allows them, how do you plan to stop them or remove them? |

lawani:Stop displaying naivety. Mr Germany and South Korea. Have you ever asked your naive mind why your WEST AFRICAN NEIGHBOURS, BURKINA FASO, MALI, NIGER ETC HAVE DRIVEN OUT THESE SAME AMERICANS AND THEIR FRENCH BROTHERS? HAVE YOU EVER ASKED THEM? DO YOU CARE TO KNOW?? White worshippers with no sense! |

lawani:There will be NO American military base in Nigeria. Go and get something useful doing in your life. |

Kemetian:I wanted to curse you but was stopped by the bot. You are not a well cultured person for saying I should find something useful to do with my life. What have you done with your own life? |

lawani:I've spent my life LEARNING WHAT THE WORLD IS REALLY ABOUT, UNLIKE YOU. Your next door neighbours are throwing out the same people that you are inviting into your house. Won't you go and ask them WHY they drove out those westerners, before inviting the same westerners into your house? You no get sense? Did oyinbo do juju on you Nigerians to not use your sense? |
| Re: Is Nigeria Still A Sovereign Nation Having American Military Base In North? by lawani(m): 12:43am On Feb 10 |
Kemetian:You ask if I have sense when you are obviously not thinking. Without the US having bases around the world then the world would have to be partitioned among the people with the biggest guns for any semblance of peace to be achievable. How much are you paying the US for that service?,How much did you pay them for helping you hit the terrorist camp in Sokoto forest? If the Nigerian government has agreed to work with them then I support the move and it should be to a full extent. The war against terrorism in Nigeria can only be fought with US help. You don't want them to help you because they are white people? Don't worry majority of US whites have some west African ancestry |

lawani:I SAID USE YOUR BRAIN. Your next door neighbours, that have driven out the westerners, have you gone to ask them WHY? Don't you CARE to know why? |

Kemetian:You are the one not using your brain. Not at all. Can the Francophone countries drive anybody out without the clandestine support of either the USA or Russia? |

lawani:I understand that most Nigeria think having a foreign nation military base in Nigeria is good .. But actually i view matters as though I am the President of Nigeria (which I will be)... so what may seem good to solve an emergency may lead to subsequent harm to the nation... Pls here are some valid points to reason... 1. The insurgency in Nigeria can be easily conquered by the Nigerian Military... but victory has lingered because some persons in power sponsor these militias... because of devilish intentions... These terrorists sponsors have not been taken down because of selfish ambitions to swindle elections results... so thousands of lives of civilians and security personnel have been cut short because of these wicked intentions... 2. Foreign nations are eager to have a base in Nigeria... so as to extend influence to other African nations... But this will boomerang... Here are implications of these nations military presence:.. A. USA will use such to fight our neighbor nations at their own will... while at our detriment... B. France always eager to control African resources... will use such to sponsor militia groups ... while secretly stealing the resources... C. UK will secretly benefit from all sides... while publicly denouncing the violence ... D. China will use their loan funded roads projects... Coastal road, Badagary-Sokoto road... to enhance their economic target by evading our custom checks... using their One road - One belt program to impose their military... E. Turkey will use such to impose islam-by-force.... 3. Remember that Nigeria also has such influence in Africa... this has resulted to single handed interventions in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cote D'Ivoire, Benin... So to maintain global peace... dogs don't eat dogs... lions do not eat lions... The above points are some reasons I can share... But to immediately solve this insurgency in the northern part of Nigeria... Let these actions be taken... 1. Immediately block the northern borders of Nigeria... 2. Terrorists and their sponsors should be taken down... no need for arrest... except when needed for intelligence gathering... so that we do not have issues of repentant terrorists... 3. No interventions from sabotaging "ogas at the top"... halting military interventions... 4. Foreign nations can help by seizing funds and assets of terrorists sponsors and corrupt officials... and jail them whenever they visit... 5. Soldiers deployed to battle zones should be paid allowance commensurate to what they earn while under international peace keeping missions... this will boost their morale... RENAISSANCE |

OLABAMIJI99:So, you don't want foreign millitary base that is using it's money to protect us, but you allowed foreign Islamic terrorists like ISIS and ISWAP to have their bases in the north to kill innocent people, right? USA is allowed to build their bases including your state, if you don't like it relocate or go and stop islamic terrorists from killing people |

In order to become truly sovereign you need global power and internal security. ... you need smart citizens and smart leaders that are patriotic There are some smart people in Nigeria but not a lot of patriotic ones. Too many people are looking for individual power and wealth The American military base is not the reason why Nigeria's sovereignty is on shaky ground. |
