Occupy NASS, What I Would Have Done With Peter Obi – El-Rufai by Segunbabba(op): 11:24pm On Feb 09
Former Kaduna Governor and ADC Front liner, Nasir El-Rufai has reacted to the OccupyNASS Protests that held earlier today at the National Assembly Complex.

Tthe protest which is against the Senate’s refusal to assent to Electronic Transmission of Results in the Amended Electoral Act, witnessed a huge turnout and was led by Former Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi.

Speaking on the Development in an Interview on Monday, El-Rufai stated that he would have joined Obi in the protest alleging that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, was trying to manipulate the 2027 General Elections through the Senate.

He disclosed that the Tinubu Administration would not win in 2027 without manipulating the Electoral Process.

“I would have joined Peter Obi to protest at the National Assembly if I were in the country. Real-time electronic transmission stops rigging, and it was passed by the House of Representatives, but the Senate is sadly frustrating it because the ruling party (APC) know they can’t win the election.”

I don't belong to obidient or El Rufai political camps, but you see this agitation for e-transmission of results, I'm with them 100%.

One question I have for those against this agitation is "what's your fear?"

One of the primary reasons why Tinubu would still win the 2027 presidential election is because the opposition lacks presidential materials.

All of them have something in common: lack of credibility.

The only reason that they are ganging up against Mr President is because they are disgruntled.

They have next to zero love for the country.

PO who the Obidients parade as the next thing after sliced bread has been tried and tested at the sub-national level and his performance while in office was below average.

Taking him to the national level would be a disaster for the country.

If it's cho-cho-cho, he has all it takes but not in performance.

With the benefit of hindsight, none of those jostling for the Office of the President could have done any better than the incumbent who has already set the template for the nation to take off.

Nigeria is not a guinea pig for experiment by political lilliputians.

Tanko Yakassai - Absent
Bolaji Abdullahi - Absent
Nasir Elrufai - Absent
Atiku Abubakar - Absent

Obi should continue tomorrow. He should not leave there until they include electronic transmission.

We are talking about how Nigeria will grow, be free of curses of election fraud and have elegible, competent person as president..not someone falling everywhere on international stage like that. If Peter Obi hasn't governed any state before, omoh shocked! I would have fallen for the hype he is getting from the obidients.

The same obi that once governed Anambra state cannot move Nigeria forward.

People don't change, they can only adjust.

Tinubu=Obi=Atiku=Zero.

why are jackass scared of real time transmission of results, tell us
Re: Occupy NASS, What I Would Have Done With Peter Obi – El-Rufai by collins0032(m): 4:02am On Feb 10
This is quite interesting coming from El-Rufai. Electronic transmission of election results is indeed crucial for transparency and credibility in our electoral process. It's encouraging to see political leaders across different parties coming together on this important issue. The citizens deserve a system where their votes truly count and can be verified. The resistance to e-transmission raises valid concerns about the integrity of future elections. Democracy thrives when the will of the people is accurately reflected in election outcomes.

Our political leaders know many Nigerians lack critical thoughts and obviously take advantage of the masses in dis regard to peddle false narrative. The question should be did the National Assembly ban e-transmission of results? The answer is capital NO but real time because there is no penetration of Internet in many parts of our remote villages across the states except Lagos and Abuja. The National Assembly will reconvene today and come out in clear terms concerning E-transmission of results.

people who can alter mmesoma jamb result, tamper with jamb website are not normal.people who think country where students want to write WAEC and they experience all sort of glitches, system and network break down thy makes students fail or sometimes unable to write exams but think we can use the same system for electronic voting successfully are not normal.people who think electronic voting and electronic transmission are the same are not normal, people who want to do electronic voting where we all know what happens when we want apply for jobs on government recruitment portals are not normal.people who go to their villages and they complain of network problems when they come back to Lagos but want electronic voting are not normal.people who think they have more money to pay lobbyist than the government are not normal…people who think they can highjack INEC portal when they eventually see true election realities are not normal

Mallam Elrufai, the absence of real time transmission of results in 2023 was how Tinubu "won" the election leading to the success of your Mu-Mu ticket. You guys orchestrated that rigging to spite christians. For your information, we love Tinubu and we do not want anyone else in the villa. History will remember you as one of the buffoons that frustrated electoral reforms, silenced the voice of the people and kept Nigeria in the duldroms.

E transmission was frustrated in 2023 and elrufai was cool with that, why is he singing a new song in 2027? He should live with the precedence he helped set.

You obviously don't understand the crux if the matter, these people are just rabble rousers and obi is only seizing the moment to push his political agenda.

There has always been electronic transmission of results in the electoral act and there still is but considering the peculiarity of our technological abilities and the penchant for politicians causing confusion all the time, this can throw up a lot of issues during elections......the bvas in itself is and electronic medium for transmission of results and it has already been adopted by INec,yes there were challenges with it in the last election but the focus of these charlatans should be in INec and not the nass to ensure the bvas works efficiently during the coming elections simple.......we do not need a new law for this but they can and should advocate to INec for better efficiency
