The Senate did not say that automatic transmission of votes is annulled. They stated that it will not be possible for all areas so therefore they cannot approve of it as automatic and only option for every polling booth when that is physically impossible to implement in reality.

What is likely to happen will be a compromise of electronic and manual recording/logging of votes to suit the reality of different States and local Government of Nigeria.
