I once bought an foreign used Oppo phone that had that issue until I sold it out.

The thing is ' most of these foreign used phones have been used by fraudsters abroad which led to WhatsApp blacklisting the Phone's IP address.

The best thing is to stop registering your main line on that phone's WhatsApp or that line stands the risk of being banned perpetually.

The ONLY options you have are:
(1). Sell off the phone.
(2). Gift it to a loved one.
(3). Use it for 'making & receiving' calls only.

The choice is yours.

Where are you folks getting the idea that phones have IP address from?

What they are saying is far from the truth
A phone used by a fraudster does not automatically become fraudulent itself
Phones don't have IP addresses. They have what is called IMEI which is a form of MAC address. While the IMEI can be blacklisted, that is not the case in the issue they are referring to
A blacklisted phone will not even be allowed to enter google play not to mention downloading Whatsapp. It is google that blacklists phones. Whatsapp can only blacklist your phone number

Flash a new global OS on the phone. The phone is phishing, it's a Chinese OS problem.

It's the phone IMI that's blacklisted. Probably , the phone a used one

Talking rubbish. IP address of a network because Android phone as Hawaii only have DNS and IMEL. IP are assigned to network of a region, so do watsapp mods blacklist random IP address or they blocked the DNS and IMEL of the phone which is not possible.You only give access to a new number while using watsapp and access to media mic and gps location if prompt

Your phone number will be allowed to use WhatsApp after a very long time. However, if you don't change that phone you will always experience the same problem over again.

Meanwhile stop using all these their party WhatsApp.

Happens mostly on used Oppo and Huawei phones. No used gadget or electronics is better than just getting a new one.

It’s not about blacklisted IP… Huawei phones does not support WhatsApp due to the war between USA and China. They even had to stop using Android at some point. Get another brand of phone instead.

Huawei phones doesn’t support WhatsApp. They had their beef in the past and the USA banned them from Android OS, and other American apps. Get a different phone

For you to get this kind of error from Whatsapp, that mean u have add or link your WhatsApp account with some website who promised to pay you certain amount of money. Or someone has link your account with it. Try to find out. Although after 24hrs you may be reactive. If you don't disconnect your connection with that side, WhatsApp will soon banned you again.
Also of website are online which are trying to steal your data and promised unfulfilled reward. Watch out

Using Oppo now, WhatsApp works fine only for the exception I mentioned about being blocked once I chat a new number. I stil can't figure a way out if it. Although I het unbanned after some hours.

People keep saying IP address, but it’s more likely IMEI / device fingerprint WhatsApp flagged

Fairly used Huawei and Oppo mostly have this WhatsApp issues. What I did then was uninstall WhatsApp, then reinstalled it, installed a container/virtual environment app like parallel space, and dual space, then installed WhatsApp on the virtual environment and it worked.

But those virtual app annoying ads fit make you vex use Ur phone stone wall, and they always run in the background which leads to battery draining fast I gave the phone out later on.
