Is Lagos not a Nigerian city why the bitter mind.

I have been to 4 of these cities and I will pick Lagos . I'm a bit biased of course. It's my home town
Nairobi is nice but nothing special. Just a laid back small city. Accra is good but too danm expensive.

It is a lie. You cannot put business and leisure in the same categorization and put Lagos as number one.
Lagos is purely for business. Leisure? Hell no.

Much of Nigeria is largely safe.

Fortunately I have visited all of them for tourism.

In preference order

CAPE TOWN
KIGALI
NAIROBI
LAGOS
ACCRA

If you visit Cape Town, you will know that all the other mentioned cities are just villages. Try Google for the best cities in Africa. This beautiful city is blessed with the table mountain and the other mountains around Stellenboch where you can see all kinds of wines.

KIGALI, Very organised and neat. Though small but very well planned and they don't joke with their cleanliness. I was in Kigali in 2024 with my friends from Amuwo Odofin in Lagos.

Nairobi, Not much of Nairobi is that developed, but then, they have the Nairobi Park inside the city which spans thousands of square kilometers. It also hosts tech hub and all kinds of animals. I was there with my wife in 2025 August. That was my second visit there. Then ther eis the Cannivore restaurant where you kind eat all kinds of meets ranging from crocodile to Elephants.


Lagos, I live here. So I know much about it. There were nice places along the Atlantic coast but then Coastal Road happened and they disappeared. That leaves us with just Lekki Phase 1 axis. Some nice restaurants such as King Fishers, Bay Lounge etc.

Accra, overhyped, nothing special here. Just the sparsely developed East Legon near the Kotoka Airport.
Go down to the Nkruma Square and it looks like Onitsha Main Market. Accra is more like Ikeja.

I have visited much more cities in Africa too, Marrakech, Luanda, Rabat, Casablanca, Mombasa, Harare, Johannesburg and many more.

A lot of Global business players underestimate the commercial value and prosperity that lies in the demographics of Lagos State.

But a combo of Business and Leisure? Mbok, I don't know oooo...

In my little experience, I'd suggest;

1.Tunis
2. Casablanca
3. Jo'burg
4. Luanda
5. Port Louis

What is unbeknown to many is the the weight of international business that Europe (including Russia) does with Tunisia. Trust me, it's coded and it dwarfs what obtains is SA and Nigeria combined.
