Rain Always Destroy Rice Farm Under Buhari Govt But Doesn't Under Tinubu See Why by Biodun556(op):
Under Buhari government rice farmers always come up with the stories that rain storm destroyed their farms on yearly bases. Buhari government do respond by giving them billions of naira and aids, and this was usually followed with increase in price of rice.

Under Buhari government, the price of bag of rice moved from 10,000 to like 90,000 despite outcry, the government never considered importation to check the excesses of the rice farmers. Journalist and media houses never made verification to ascertain whether rice farms were actually destroyed.

Under Tinubu government, I wonder why such stories never come up. This is because importation is allowed to check and balance the rice farmers activities. If they claim rain destroy their farms, importation would serve as alternative not money or aid.

The same thing applies to Dangote on cement matter. He usually increase price of cement since government stopped importation. He will always give excuses of market glut. Now the cement is 11000 naira plus.

Some two weeks back , Petrol was 734 naira per liter, people were relieve and hope. Then Dangote came up with claim that he can now meet local demand, government responded by stopping importation, shortly after that, Dangote increase price of Petrol to 834 per liter.

These are the evils we do to ourselves in Nigeria. Nothing should be left in the hands of local manufacturers. Importation should be allowed in all areas of the economy to serve as a check and balance.

OP, you lied that the price of a bag of rice rose to N100,000 under Buhari.

That is a lie from the pit of hell.

The only regime under which the price of rice rose to N100,000 and above is the Tinubu administration.

Tell your principal to do the work he swore to do.
So you mean that your darling daddy was dishing out billions without proper investigations? So na journalists go verify the claims of crop destruction for your buhari before he dished out money? So this was among the what you and your likes supported for 8 years?

About less than a year to go before the next presidential election with no visible achievement of this wuru-wuru government, nairaland agbadorians are looking for cheap meaninglessness things to point ☝️ out as Tinubu's achievements.

BATists and lies
Bag of rice did not even reach 40k under Buhari
Go and verify
It was under Tinubu it went to 100k+ and now at 50k which is even majorly imported and s smuggled rice.
So even now, the price is still higher than Buhari left it. Imagine rice price moving over 300% and settling to over 50% in just 2 years!!
Another policy somersault of the APC. You closed border under Buhari to encourage local production. You open border under Tinubu to encourage importation and smuggling
APC is a confused and incompetent party destroying Nigeria

There's still flooding of rice farms
No one cares again because you're now importing cheap rice and killing the local farmers
APC is a weapon fashioned against Nigerians

Local farmers know how to starve Nigerians by hoarding rice to create artificial scarcity and then inflate price

Local farmers can only be relevant if they make life easier for the masses.

Local farmers don't hoard rice. You simply don't know what you're saying
Local farmers are affected by lack of resources to farm, flooding and insecurity which leads to poor harvest and as a result supply gaps in Local rice supply which pushes the price up

APC claimed to have built rice pyramids just as they are claiming to build audio roads now. Meanwhile the majority of the monies were being shared to their minions who claimed to be farmers while pittance of 50k was being given to the real farmers.

You claim you want to produce enough rice to feed 200m people and you're giving farmers 50k? It can only be APC

Local farmers need to be able to farm easier first before they can make life easier for the masses
Re: Rain Always Destroy Rice Farm Under Buhari Govt But Doesn't Under Tinubu See Why by AMINDA: 6:17am On Feb 11
What is Tinubu's policy on agriculture that has resulted to crash in price of rice? Importation is not an agricultural policy. 70% of Nigeria's rural dwellers are farmers. Someone who campaigned on an Agbado exonomy and promised prosperity to farmers has now turned around to accuse them and brand them an enemy. For every cheap imported bag of rice you buy, more youth drop their farming tools and resort to crimes to make ends meet after seeing their source of livelihood taken away from them. Leadership goes beyond looking good on paper. It is deeper than that.

Any occupation that will fuel hardship must die

Buhari did more than enough for local farmers, yet food price kept rising spreading hungers all over the country

There will always be excuses even if government give the whole budget to farmers. Only God can make FG pay attention to farmers again as they disappointed the whole Nigerians under Buhari administration despite his 100s of Billions worth of intervention back to back.

I hope northerners are learning, the very same mouth that praised Buhari to the sky is the same mouth pushing Buhari into the ground and fought those who spoke the truth, now he is here praising Tinubu against buhari because he believes Tinubu is his tribesman and they've achieved what they wanted with Buhari...
