Mehn everything boils down to preference.

But as someone who hates anxiety and mental stress i will choose NNPC any day, anytime.

Earning 20m+ under the government as a new staff who is probably in their 20s or early 30s is big. Especially for someone in their early 20s to mid 20s.

Just look at senior civil servants in mid agencies that are in level 12. Those guys are very comfortable even with their kids and other bills.

Now what those guys at the peak of their careers earn in mid agencies is what the entry level staff earns in IOC ooo. So imagine being paid that type of money from a young age and it increases as you grow.

Life go just dey sweet you for body. They will even send you abroad for courses and pay you for it.

With $70-100k you can easily passport In one of the islands.

Small children are earning cool cash legitimately, you're talking of stealing.

If you see anybody resigning from ioc to japa the person falls In these categories

1 na nepo baby
2 has worked long enough to be financially free from 9-5 and wants to do other things
3 most of them are on transfer to other countries for assignment

If you don't even know its better for you to work In IOC here than IOC in Europe.
salary is the same rate.
It's only US that has far higher salaries.
Generally salaries in US are usually far higher than other countries.
Cost of living here is very cheap. Although growth here is mixed with politics.

Go and check many guys with families abroad, the main bread winner is here in nigeria.

National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA) use CONRAISS Salary Scale, I think it should be around 160k-175k for GL 08.

Most, if not all agencies have reviewed their salaries upward. I think it's more than this figure you mentioned

NUPRC and NMDPRA were former DPR. DPR never had two different salary scale for its Upstream and Midstream departments. The two are just like different departments in an agency.

They operate on same level and same salary scale.

I agree with you on somethings, during my masters in the UK I had a side hustle as a house agent for people and I tell you the truth most people in Nigeria pay bills for their families living in the uk. its hard to get a decent job that’s fulfilling oversees so I support his claim that anyone who leaves an ioc to japa is really comfortable, indeed abroad is not heaven.

if you read my message properly. I already said people no longer japa because of money but to have a decent working system. Simply put, money isn't everything to life. Some just want a double passport and if it means relocating they'll do that. Some just want saner clime and some just want their children to grow up in a developed nation. Many reasons beyond Money

Yea it's funny as long as you don't wake up to hear a family member of yours has been kidnapped and the kidnappers are asking for 100m ransom. You can say God forbid it would never happen to you but those that were victims said same thing.
