From the get go, it has always been a case of much ado about nothing.

So called coalition of Obidient opposition, we’re just in self deceit, chasing shadows.
Yes.

I guessed right about your comment.

Nevertheless, if you're supposed to count from 1 to 100; even if you stop at 98 or 99,, you have not reached 100..

This OP, I always laught at him. Most times, I pity him.
His own noise does not go beyond Nairaland.
Hahahahahahaaahhaaahahaa..
I am also laughing at you too.

You think I live on Nairaland.??
Youths mostly stay here.

That's why I drop some of thoughts and ideas here.
And it doesn't affect anything I do outside here.

The OP, are you referring to Senator Bluntcrazeman?

BluntCrazeMan:
That move by the Senate is a total waste of Plenary time.

There should be no alternatives oo..

If the system fails, they should wait.
If the results didn't upload, THE COLLATION FOR THOSE PARTICULAR POLLING-UNITS INVOLVED “SHALL” NOT COMMENCE -- until the results get successfully uploaded to the IREV-Portal.

.

THEY WANT TO CREATE LOOPHOLES.
With this, they will be allowing lots of glitches back-to-back, so that they can resort back to the use of papers.. (that would also be lots of waste of our money invested in these systems -- which would definitely fail again on the day of election)

The Electoral-Act should also retain that the duplicate copies of the result-sheets should be given to the police and the Party agents==>> (Section:60(3)..)
No sir, real time means it must be sent instantly. If there's a delay, then the purpose is defeated

Then, that Polling-Unit would be cancelled.??

What I am saying is,, if the result is not transmitted instantly (whereas it is supposed to be instant), then two options are available.

1. Either to proceed without collating the results of the Polling-Unit. The results can only be added during the time of FINAL REVIEW BY THE RETURNING OFFICER -- when the Returning officer would be settling the final disputes according to the procedures listed in the Electoral Act.
(This would cause our collation officers to actually settle disputes during collation)

2. Or to wait for the result to still pop-up in the IREV-Portal.

No sir, once there's no network within an hour, the next available copy should be deployed. The essence of this innovation is not just transparency but speed

Timeline of One Hour..
That's Okay.

The members of the National Assembly should input the timeline inside the Bill.

Again, the electronic device which was used to transmit the actual results which failed to transmit must be brought to the venue of the collation for ratification.

In the last general election of 2023, a video went viral, corp members were busy thumping presidential election ballot papers after 2weeks the election has held.
