The All Progressives Congress and the New Nigeria Peoples Party have rejected the proposed visa bans and asset freezes recommended by United States lawmakers against ex-Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore over alleged violations of religious freedoms in Nigeria.https://punchng.com/religious-freedom-violations-apc-nnpp-back-kwankwaso-as-us-sanctions-tension-rises/

During nysc in 2009/10, the members of staff of the local govt I worked in Niger State were fond of hailing a certain Dr Rabiu from Kano State, who used to work with them. They said he's a good man. Something told me it was Dr Rabiu Kwankwanso, the Minister of Defence they were referring to. Truth to form, in 2022 leading to the 2023 elections, I miraculously found the Kwankwansiya cap in my office. I knew it was an invitation to his party. Addendum: Chris Smith is a name imitator, while Riley Moore is an impersonator. The US House of Reps are on their own. |

Agbadorians are bragging on Nairaland that it was Tinubu that supplied Kwankwaso's name to America while APC are pretending to be backing him online. We know as e dey go. Playing both sides, eh? Slithering snakes! |

The sanction on Rabiu Kwankwaso is very correct. He has been the self appointed spokesman of fulani herdsmen threatening states who dared to ban open grazing and unfettered access of foreign herders. Hopefully the US Congress will also include Sheikh Gumi and Sheikh Jingir in the next sanctions list as they have both supported the persecution of Nigerian Christians. |

I doubt the intelligence the United States is depending on. Same United States have been speaking from both sides of its mouth in recent times without real action or consequences hence the rise in insurgency. |

If you have followed Kwankwaso very closely, you would have known that the man is a fulani fundamentalist. A very very parochial politician who is always desperate to impose northern domination of Nigeria at all cost. Seldom cares about the rest of the country. It is as if the rest of us are his cows. The charges fit. They should make the rest of his existence miserable |

How do they come to the conclusion that Kwankwaso is a terrorist? I guess they would hang it on his introduction of sharia law in Kano state. Mike Riley is using his position in the Congress to lead a modern day crusade against Muslims in developing countries. As his ancestors failed to destroy Islam, so shall he. Anyone who wants to help us fight terrorism should assist with intelligence and sophisticated weapons. Attacking Islam and Muslims is a wrong way to fight terrorism. |

Whoever that has been following past events would know kwakwaso has been an ambassador/advocate for both Hausa/Fulani. Wherever there's communal crisis, you would find him there to defend his tribal men. There's a kind of fear he usually put on host communities |

damble:When e reach your turn, do not defend your people as a national poltician. Allow them to gaslight you. The hausa and the Fulani are legitimate tribes in the Nigerian state unless you are encouraging pogrom. Here was Tinubu defending herders and blaming Evans as the originator of kidnappings. This was when he needed hausa/fulani votes.

IkeOnyia:There is no greater spokesman for Fulani herdsmen than Jagaban of Borgu. The CinC who negotiates with them to release a few kidnapped children instead of killing/arresting them. The betrayer of Yorubas who threw Mulikat Akande under the cow 🐄 in 2011 to make Tambuwal HoR Speaker. The hypocrite had no qualms about subsequently accusing PDP of marginalising Yorubas, as he fraudulently sold Buhari to unsuspecting Nigerians as APC messiah four years after calling him expired and making the old soldier cry while vowing never to run again following his three failed attempts. The betrayer of Igbos who jails their freedom fighter Kanu while pampering Boko Haram terrorists and kidnappers. Do you think that Tinubu has finally found his cows 🐄 in Aso Rock after fighting for and grabbing power to run cluelessly with it like a headless pig 🐖? Highways: |

JAMO84:No The United States government should do everything possible to end Islamic terrorists massacre of northern Christians . They should use both their foot soldiers, weapon and intelligence. Islamic terrorists are beasts that must be tamed at all cost. |

This topic needs calm and verifiable facts from all sides. If sanctions are being discussed, the exact allegations and official evidence should be presented clearly so people can make informed judgments. |

Tunaji:All this long talk is to what end, good man in what essence, the big question is, is he guilty as charged, everyone knows 99per of northern muslim elites are complicit, they are part and parcel of the insecurity in Nigeria. |

The discussion is important, but people should focus on verifiable facts and official sources. Strong claims need clear evidence so the public can judge fairly without misinformation. |

Kwankwanso is funlani ethnic supremacist. His contribution to inter ethnic fight is second to none. I remember Hansa vs Yorba fight in Lagos mile 12. He influenced the police to join hausas in fighting yorubas. That's the hallmark of all ethnic fights in Nigeria. The military and police are always supporting northerners. |

Eleph:The rise in insurgency in America 🇺🇸? Or the rise in insurgency in Nigeria 🇳🇬? Which one are you talking about specifically? If there is no real action then what do you call the invasion of our sovereign country by Trump, killing innocent northerners under the guise of looking for Muslim terrorists accused of committing genocide against Christians ![]() |

Hankim:They are just scared of him deputising Obi. Kwankwaso still owns Kano, and this will only make him more popular in the North. Even Abba Kabir still goes around with the red cap while Ganduje and Barau camps continue to fight. Kwankwassiyya is now fully in charge of Kano. If you know, you know.

JAMO84:Muslims are fighting themselves and every one else worldwide, you are here crying that someone is calling them out, muslims are a clog in the wheel of fighting terrorism, they don't even bother to hide their ill-intentions, so if someone is exposing the truth that is very obvious everyone else except terrorists sympathizers and aiders whether small or big, stop crying over it, you brought it on yourself. |
