I just keep wondering what would have happened to our economy if we had taken Atiku and Peter Obi’s advice to follow the Argentina model. By now, Naira would have been completely worthless and our economy would have been in super depression. We really missed a bullet by voting against those two economic illiterates. In fact, every Nigerian should take some minutes out today to say a prayer of gratitude to president Bola Tinubu.
Naira was 700 to a dollar in 2023

Shameless supporters of impunity everywhere here to celebrate nonsense

More than 200 naira killed in kwara and you have the temerity to praise such clueless government supervising destruction of her citizens

The Major problem with you educated illiterates tinubu data bois is that when you want to copy people in school during exams (expo), you copy word for word. Obi is far smarter than that. He will adopt the good policies, same as other countries.

We are, in a way , following some of Millei's prescriptions...subsidy removal on petrol and floating the local currency. What we are not doing is cutting other subsides, and cutting down on the overbloating in the civil service, national assembly and presidency, among other things.

Also., Argentina was in severely dire straits before Millei.

Tinubu has a lot of work to do...fight corruption, remove power subsides totally, end our reliance on oil for government revenues, and promote industrialization policies.

Find out what Nigeria's population was during the PDP days vs the current population.

Find out how many projects the PDP era embarked on vs the current government that has over 4,000 projects in less than 2yrs. Then, examine whether the PDP met a vault as empty as what Buhari left for Tinubu.
Since you already know the population numbers for 2015, 2019, 2023 and now, why don’t you just say it? What is so hard for you to say about the numbers over the period huh

Ditto for your phantom 4,000 Tinubu projects and empty vault claim by the expired soldier that Tinubu made president four years after!!!

Meanwhile, please don’t forget to send the link to how one can use pictures of your phantom projects to pay for the subsidy that APC is forcing on 200 million Nigerians because of the massive corruption in their oil sector.

Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

Nice one

Things are looking good for the country

P1igsz should remember that it wasn't Tinubu that told Emefiele to invoke 25 trillion naira from thin air and inject into the economy

This caused the devaluation of course

Just for your information, in a few weeks, Aso Rock will be totally dependent on solar systems. Obviously, there's no concrete plans for the improvement of power.

But let 4 years come and go. May God spare our lives.

Ignorance is bliss.

Look at the position of the US$ against all other currencies since January 2025. Dollar weakness has been prevalent. It ain’t got nothing to do Tinubu nor naira (which this administration decimated since inception).

min. of 500K & upwards. Every other day for about 2 months.
Rate will be at around whatever the market is saying at that point in time. With maybe a few digits less for allowance of benefit for the buyer.

Regarding population numbers, it's just common sense to know that the population of a nation increases dramatically every 10yrs. A little bit of education will help you know this. Some nations almost double their population during a 10 year period. For Nigeria, it is 25.9%.

I know from your comments that you never ever try to educate yourself. You just love to follow any anti-government news blindly without giving the narrations a second thought. I was not the one who said the government embarked on over 4,000 projects, it was BudgIT. The news is here on Nairaland. There's even a report that the funds were released for all 4,000 plus projects but 99 were fraudulently diverted and abandoned by contractors. You can find the Nairaland link. Here is a screenshot below for your perusal. The Nairaland link mentioned 4,000 plus projects while my screenshot mentioned approximately 3,000 projects, which is still massive.

For people saying they want a return to 150⁰ naira to a dollar or even one naira to one dollar, are you ready to also take a pay cut?. Because such a dramatic change in Nigeria will see a drastic cut in people's pay because how much dollars do you need in Nigeria for the upkeep of a small family?

Lol. Is our economy not in depression? What was the dollar rate when he took over. I know you will say the naira was being defended but that's the job of the Central Bank and Tinubu is currently doing so. We have also incurred more debt now than under Buhari. Yet, Buhari was defending the naira and paying electricity and fuel subsidies. Where's the money going to? Here is Umahi accusing Wale Edun of failing to release money to his ministry. Several ministers have also been coming out in the past few days to tell us their ministries are underfunded. Meanwhile, we are still implementing 3 budgets concurrently. Propaganda will never take us anywhere.

can you see why you need to see a doctor soon?your reasoning faculty has become very faulty. An economy growing at over 4% in depression?God will perfect your healing in jesus name

How come you don’t give this same excuse that “it’s not that the naira is weakening, rather it’s the dollar that’s getting stronger” whenever our naira loses value?
