Iconic Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has addressed the long-standing public perception surrounding his personal life, stating that the label of being a “womanizer” is a major misconception.

The legendary singer made this known during an exclusive interview with the Voice of Nigeria (VON), where he spoke candidly about how his relationships have often been misunderstood by the public. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to 2Baba, his openness and honesty about his emotions and relationships have contributed to the narrative that has followed him for decades.

“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer,” the singer said.
“I like women, and I’m straightforward about it. But I’m a lover boy — I love hard.”

The award-winning artiste explained that his appreciation for women and refusal to live a double life is often wrongly interpreted as promiscuity, especially in an era dominated by social media scrutiny.

2Baba, whose private life has repeatedly sparked online debates, noted that being transparent rather than secretive about his relationships is what shaped public opinion about him.

Now a father of eight, the African music icon became emotional while speaking about his children. Although he expressed pride in their intelligence and individuality, he admitted to having one major regret — not spending enough time with all of them together.

It never ceases to amaze me how someone like him, who has the biggest platform to draw the worlds attention to the atrocities happening daily in Benue State would rather channel all his energy into trivial irresponsible nonsense than speak up for the people in Benue state. I can't remember him ever being vocal about the unnecessary loss of life in Benue.
