Although, one may not necessarily belong to the same school of thought with Baba-Ahmed, his postulation on the ADC vis-a-vis Bola Ahmed Tinubu in terms of political sagacity is top-notch.

One had often stated on this Forum that the opposition ADC lacks men with credibility who are capable of providing a more viable alternative to the Jagaban of Borgu.

For a man who contested as a running mate to PO in the LP in the last presidential election to publicly acknowledge Tinubu over all the members of the ADC put together is a summation too weighty to ignore.

One doesn't criticize blindly or emotionally but tries to do so with detachment and objectivity.

This submission didn't come from @hotseat but from a prominent member of the opposition.

It’s Atiku he is directing it to. Tinubu had sense to wait to collect the power from Buhari. This is supposed to be the way Atiku should follow too.

If Atiku steps down for Obi, where will Obi's votes come from? In 2023, Tinubu got 5.6m votes from the North, Atiku got 7m votes from the North, Kwankwaso got 1.4m votes from Kano and even Obi got over 2m votes from the North out of his total tally. Can Obi gain any more ground in the South that can surpass his 2023 numbers? I doubt. Can Atiku gain any more ground in the North in 2027 than can surpass his 2023 numbers? Absolutely. Many Northerners who voted Tinubu in 2023 will no longer do so. That's how you do political permutations. Simply demanding for a ticket does not cut it.

ADC henchmen all want power. No one wants to bow to the other. After 2014 primaries, everyone worked together for the winner. Although Atiku did not campaign vigorously for Buhari, he did not scuttle Buhari's chances.

Atiku deserves his flowers. No one should ask him to step down. If Atiku wins the ADC ticket, let them work for him. If Nigerians prefer him, he'd get votes. If they do not, he'd retire.

Do you know why no one wants to bow to the other? Bcoz power is sweet, no one should be trusted with it not even your biological child see Baba Oloye Saraki vs Bukola Saraki (2011).

You can't know the real behavior of a man until you give him power.
