JoeSef0:if you got solar panels free, at least try invest in a (USEd) charge controller. if you already got 5pcs of 200w solar panels, an MPPT charge controller would allow you run them all in series so long it's on 24v system or above. No need further increasing the population of small solar panels. As for the Cable, just enter Omo Igbo Shop that selles electrical things, ask for made-In-Nigeria wire; it's same cable that NEPA uses to draw light from the pole directly into your compound. You know that wire NEPA cuts when you fail to pay for darkNess. |

bassdow:I agree. I now use recline (Aluminium) cables for my solar wiring from inverter and battery to busbar. I use the alumi wires from Cutix, Cometstar, or Lagostar because I have bought several 10mms but the outside sheath keeps melting. I'm tired of sifting through fakes. - Before anyone says buy wire from a plug here - what happens when you just want to buy a small length of wire? The cost of the waybill may exceed the cost of the wire. |

The system is a 12v system and i have a pwm CC already that was ised in the setup previously, according to the CC, the max pv wat for 12v is 720w which is lower than the 1kw panels, but on 24v i can run 1300w. And lastly, i know the wire you're talking about. I'll ask for it tomorrow. Thanks bassdow: |

Tdoctor:To best of my knowledge, it's only used from Solar panels to charge controller / inverter; not from inverter to battery. And have never had issues. |

Amen sir. Got the battery for 1.1m capnies: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 6:29am On Feb 12 |
U probably dont have a choice if u are using a pwm,u need to parallel all to get max current. If not get a mppt JoeSef0: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:06am On Feb 12 |
Drgreatone:unfortunately, that paralleling would give more current which still end up being wasted. Not to add to the fact He would end up needing thicker cables which also means SPENDing more money. He's better off getting a used MPPT charge controller to keep costs low. he already got other things for FREE |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:07am On Feb 12 |
JoeSef0:you're better off not adding any extra solar panels . better to keep the difference or dash or sell to someone. |

I have a 220w refridgerator and a setup with 173AH 12V battery. Which affordable PSW 12V inverter can I use. I have a MSW inverter but dont want to try it. Heard it isn't good for compressor and cooking systems. |

The Itel power tank is a low budget solution for intending solar users. Cost break down ; Power tank 500w (1kwh) 304k Jinko 535w bifacial panel 107,500 Installation and materials 130k... Length of pv cable caused the price hike. Loads.. Normal 32 inches tv Small Home theater Lighting points And a standing refrigerator. Dc standing fan. Gets filled by 1pm due to lack of early morning sunlight (Should fill faster in a better location) A full charge lasts through the night with the above loads mentioned leaving at least 35% charge, although TV and home theater goes off latest 11pm If you're on a super tight budget and this solution can work for you, then by all means go for it. Highly recommended !

Seun stop banning me na 😫 Abeg dollarnaira, Valto, Mrreed and other builders, please what configuration is this? I just opened the system. This is supposed to be 4S2P for 768Wh system.

The guy sells reused battery bank cos this doesn’t last like it’s rated capacity after testing. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 10:37pm On Feb 12 |
I have come to realize this from his customers after much research. They complain about the same thing |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 10:38pm On Feb 12 |
Dollarnaira abeg help. I want to know what configuration and the battery type. With such knowledge I can just add to the battery. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 10:39pm On Feb 12 |
I can just add extra batteries in parallel to increase its capacity. I just dey chop ban since morning 😫 |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 10:42pm On Feb 12 |
Maybe the builder na Seun friend I don’t know 🤧 If I had known about the builders in this thread long b4 now, I would have just saved myself from all this nonesense. This system doesn’t even get to 400wh discharge before it shuts down. |
