I'm also into the Zenith balanced fund, and the gains have been skyrocketing so far. ezegold4we: |

ezegold4we:Do these balanced funds also come with red days like that of the fixed income fund |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 6:58am On Feb 12 |
Anything involving "NAV" will always come with red. Red is good, as it makes the market interesting and more bullish. No matter how high the daily interest rate and amount invested in MMF, it can never beat one bullish month of equity fund. Finally, balanced funds, fixed income funds, and equity are all for the long term, like 1-5 years. IamtheDef: |

EquityM:Oh ok thank you. So looked like we weren't favorably disposed to balanced funds initially, i remember you and Beeron even advised against them in the early days of the thread. Can i ask what changed? |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 9:35am On Feb 12 |
I didn't fund my account well; after topping up, I started seeing gains. Equity funds, in general, require a reasonable amount of cash to see results. IamtheDef: |

IamtheDef:what changed is; everybody is a good trader/investor during the bull season, every trade is a sweet trade during the bull season, every market conviction/prediction is right in the bull season well until reality hit during the bear season. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 10:49am On Feb 12 |
How are you doing, bro? I'm enjoying the bullish season now. Beeron: |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 10:50am On Feb 12 |
Niiade:Brilliant suggestion but the only hole i see in this is MMF investment will lose compounding effect power if she does this over time essentially turning MMF to basic savings account when she keeps moving the returns into equity (eventhough she isn't sure of the long term outlook of the stock market), we all speculating here. In that ten years, MPR might be hiked again, people will move funds from Stocks back to MMF and ASI might dip due to that, will you now suggest she move the money back into MMF (of course that a loss after the dip). Key point to consider is — Equity is suppose to grow money and MMF is meant to compound money so you will always lose when you rob Peter to pay Paul. |

EquityM:I'm good chief. Cr ypto is really taking more of my time lately, Now that BT C is bearish, I'm focused on taking advantage of the bear market to buy futures contracts and short most alt coins and milk them dry for profit. Trust the weather is bearable over there? |

Beeron:Say, would it be wise to move funds from usdt to any of the instruments in the naija market now seeing as the dollar is steadily declining/ the naira is steadily gaining . |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 12:26pm On Feb 12 |
IamtheDef:lol Good afternoon Chief. This investment strategy thing ehh is one thing that sometimes bends one imagination. Sometimes it works like black holes, you will think you know physics and all the laws of physics but when you get to the event horizons of black holes, then you will realize that every laws of physics just stops working. Sometimes investment strategy can be like that. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by Beeron: 12:37pm On Feb 12 |
IamtheDef:This dollar decline is the reason why Swiss franc is regarded as the world most stable currency to save your money in. However, the best investment you can make with USD not USDT oooo but USD, is buying dollar mutual funds or Euro bond (if you lucky to get any secondary market on this). Or convert the dollars to Naira and buy land (fence and and secure it) Or buy precious metals ETF especially gold etf. |
| Re: Equity Investment. by ezegold4we: 12:52pm On Feb 12 |
That's why we recommend diversification of one's portfolio, you invest in MMF funds and also into Equity funds in other to maximize profit and control inflation, last year some Equity funds did 40% to 80% return, while MMF's only did 16% to 18%, But for those that don't have the capacity to see red in their portfolios, your best and only option should be MMF funds investment. | Re: Equity Investment. by Niiade(m): 12:56pm On Feb 12 |
Beeron:You’re spot on with your insight and I completely agree with that sentiment. However, I was thinking more along the lines of her doing it for maybe a year or two, just to gradually build comfort and confidence in equities before she starts channeling more savings back into the Money Market Fund (MMF). From the accelerated learning I’ve had recently, along with some research and reading, it appears that many of those who consistently outperform in equity investing are individuals who buy small amounts regularly and simply leave the investments untouched over time. That approach seems balanced and practical with steady accumulation without trying to time the market. That brings me to a key question: If the ₦5 million in the MMF were divided into three equal parts, allocating one-third each to MMF, a Balanced Fund, and an Equity Fund, would that structure potentially produce better overall gains? |

I'm currently testing the Quantum Zenith ESG fund with 16k in capital, and the returns have been fantastic—they've even surpassed the daily returns of the Zenith balanced fund, where I have 50k+ in capital. I'll see what it has to offer after I try to top it up. (I started on Monday, and the YTD then was at 13%+) New update 22.09

| Re: Equity Investment. by Nobody: 12:09am On Feb 13 |
It will be a good year, as many stocks will move up rapidly, especially the banking and consumer stocks. There will also be a lot of buying, which will definitely make the market bullish. Niiade: |

Zenith ESG is at 22.09 YTD; it's currently ahead of all the equities I know, including Zrosk and CardinalStone. If there is any cash to spare, kindly spare it for the ESG.
