Bisi Ilaka, former Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde and a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has formally resigned from the party.

Seyi's men are going into the ADC to clear the way in preparation for the arrival of the Big Bird!

Don't rejoice over his defection yet, he is a serial defector and serial contestant. He contested for senate under Accord Party in 2011 and lost to ACN candidate. In 2015, he contested again and lost to senator Musurat Sunmonu of APC. In 2019 and 2023, he contested under PDP and lost to senator Teslim Folarin and Senator Yunus Akintunde of APC respectively, Seyi Makinde was Governor in those years and Ilaka was even his Chief of Staff but couldn't help him to win.
You know nothing about Oyo Politics. If Seyi is really popular, he should stop looking for structure, he should be bold like Governor Adekeke who moved to a less popular party. His headache now is how his successor could win. Oriyomi's defection and declaration under Accord Party on January 17th along with the waves of "oyo npe o movement" caught him unaware, unsettle and hitting him hard

All I sense is fear from the Agbadorian camp. They say Makinde cannot deliver Oyo to ADC and we agree but they somehow believe the 36 state governors will deliver their states to Tinubu. No be juju be that? Fayose can keep providing entertainment in his clownshow while real political horsetradings continue to take place. Agbadorians will try to put the betrayal tag on Makinde but they will fail. Tinubu never supported Obasanjo. Seyi owes him nothing!

Let me remind you that this was exactly how he warned Seyi Makinde when he was trying to play half smart. Today, Makinde is no longer hustling to be President but VP. Atiku better heed this warning or else... I saw Paul Ibe's rebuttal and I started wondering when Fayose started peddling rumors. Fayose deals with facts and figures.
