This is really sad. It reminds me of Adama, a movie set during world war 1, how young Africans leave home with hope but end up in war zones. Families back home are the ones who suffer most.

There should be an awareness program from the government warning its citizens about travelling to Russia and even Ukraine.

They are actually paying it, it has steadily climbed from $2600 earlier in the war to $5k by late last year before some decline earlier this year but it is climbing again. They recruit a lot of ex military guys in Nigeria, the retired officers earn even higher.
