I don't think it's appropriate to boast about the material things we posses as Christians. Our boasting should be in the Lord, how we love him and the things we have done for him with all our hearts.

Popular Nigerian preacher and founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has once again set social media and religious circles on fire after making a bold revelation about his luxury watch collection.

In a viral video currently making the rounds online, the outspoken pastor disclosed that he does not buy the expensive watches he is often seen wearing, stressing that many of them are gifts from people who appreciate the impact of his work.
According to Pastor Ibiyeomie, one of the watches in his possession is valued at $2 million (over ₦3 billion) — and shockingly, he claims he has not even worn half of the watches he owns.
“I don’t buy the watches I wear. Someone gave me a two million dollar watch. I haven’t even worn half of my watches. The ones you see on social media are just a small part of my collection,” he said.
The pastor went further to state that if people were to see the full extent of his watch collection, many would literally faint, emphasizing that what is shown online is only a fraction of his wealth.
“If they saw all of them, they would faint,” he added.
Addressing critics who often question how pastors acquire such luxury items, Pastor Ibiyeomie attributed his blessings to problem-solving and value creation, not personal greed or church funds.
“I’m getting watches because I’m solving problems,” he explained.
His statement has since sparked mixed reactions online, with supporters praising him as a man enjoying the rewards of his labor, while critics argue that such displays of wealth clash with the humility expected of religious leaders.
As the debate continues, one thing is clear: Pastor David Ibiyeomie knows how to command attention, and this latest revelation has once again placed him at the center of Nigeria’s ongoing conversation about wealth, faith, and prosperity preaching.

Yes agree with you that the watches are gifts but you can sow it into the lives of others.

Franking:
And your source of income?
Did he told you that he bought the watches with his income? They are all gift. What you guys don't know is that most of these men of God hardly bought materials things with their money; from shoes, to cloths, watches, name it. They are all gift from people that believes that their ministry impacted their lives.

It's really funny how these pastors just say anything these days. So watches are things to brag about now? I don't understand and yet they'll tell you worldly things are all vanity yet they'll still contradict themselves with careless utterances like this. Very sad

Jesus in his own time, kept telling his disciples about how there is more work to do and labourers and resources being few. A man working for Jesus openly bragging he keeps expensive watches, yet he expect his members to pay for every church expansion.
He is not serious.

People who know the problem he solved for them are giving back to him while people that see you as comedian wasting away your time are giving you like and share too. Go and sell your like and share too and go and buy one of his watches or buy property in Lekki

"He is solving problem". It is no longer God is solving problems but him as a person. This is outright recklessness, humility has been thrown to the dogs.

With all these pastors boldy hinting at being accessories to money laundering activities, why can't the EFCC beam its searchlight on them?

This "Touch not my anointed syndrome" has worsened corruption in Nigeria!
