DSS Seizes El-Rufai’s Passport at Request of Anti-Graft Agency

The Department of State Services (DSS) seized the international passport of former Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, today upon his return from Cairo, Egypt, acting on a request from an anti-graft agency.

A DSS source confirmed to Arise News that the action was taken solely to ensure El-Rufai honours an outstanding invitation from the anti-graft agency widely reported as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning in an ongoing investigation. The source emphasised there was no attempt to arrest or detain him.

We’ve been down this road before, Tinubu.

Arresting opponents won’t arrest the will of the people.

Nigerians are resolute... May 28, 2027, must mark the end.
Another four years under this regime is simply unthinkable.

He was busy claiming I know they will arrest me anytime, despite knowing fully he ran away to Egypt after he was invited by EFCC, yet he didn't tell his unfortunate supporters behind the scenes invitation .

In my own honest opinion , I will advice Mr. Peter Obi to forget about contesting for Nigeria presidential election .. There is no chance for him at this point … he should forget about Nigeria politics and focus on his business.. Tinubu won presidential election when he was not even in control of INec, security agencies, CBN and other key agencies. You will be dreaming if you think he will lose this election when everything is now under his control

Wisdom dey say is profitable to direct sir.

Are you saying because of politics we should stop calling public officers to account for decisions they took while in public offices?

Is it the job of DSS to make public servants account for the decisions they took while in public office? What happened to the courts? Why try to arrest a man returning to the country on his own accord and seizing his passport without court or arrest warrant if not to intimidate? My joy is that it will go round. Tinubu might be the first ex-president to be tried and sent to jail.

He doesn't have to quite, he can build his presidency targeting the end of Tinubu's 8 years.
He stands a good chance then

Whatever that happened to Tinubu after his tenure is not my business.
Have you heard about the word Collaboration between Security/Government agencies, what if the EFCC sent his name to the DSS..
I feel the officers are over zealous.. We should try and stop twisting everything that happen to politics.

Obi has no chance whatsoever in 2027, Nigerians will never vote out a sitting Muslim Yoruba president form the South West, to replace him with an Igbo Christian man from The South East.

It is impossible.

I am a student of history, It will only end in wailing as usual, then we want to leave Nigeria agitation will start again immediately after The Supreme Court of Nigeria upholds the election results.

We know una modus operandai, wail for 3 years, then deceive themselves with false hope, the last 12 months to the general election.

The cycle is predictable, it keeps repeating itself.
