Maybe rules don change but doesn't look like there will be play offs ọ. Usually from GW 36, it's blank with no opponents. This time, it's different 😬 🤔 If banking on play offs, better change strategy lol 😜 Calibrator:

Na true ooo. This season is as a classic H2H without playoffs. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. My end of season strategy needs revamp laddis The mf admin didn't set it up as playoffs to decide the winner as usual. @iamoyindamola, what kind of mistake is that? You set the Bongo FA Cup with playoffs and left the Nairaland FA Cup as a race to finish without playoffs. ![]() Bourne007: |

No malice intended. I thought na my new opp (thou who shall not be named) be the creator of this season FA Cup. Nevertheless I will manage to win the FA Cup like that, just 9pts off top spot. Time to deploy nuclear chips ![]() sod09: |

. Bourne007 kicks against Administrator, Ayapripri calls for extraordinary vote Following the revelation that FPL Chairman and Monkey D Luffy boss iamoyindamola embezzled funds earmarked for Playoff registration with the world governing body FIFA, the confederation has been beset with rancour and infighting. Ibime Ayapripri Jack-Daniel, manager of Ipukulu FC has posited that the FA Cup forego Playoffs this season and the winner should be the participant with the most points after Gameweek 38. He has also called for an extraordinary vote of confidence in Iamoyindamola given the egregious nature of his incompetence. Ibime has also asked members of the board to invite Mukina2 to resume her former duties as administrator, noting that there were never any administrative issues during her decade long tenure as FPL Chairman. Some members have cast doubt as to whether Mukina2 would accept a return to the organisation but others expressed confidence she would return under the attraction of Okafors Law. This reporter reached out to Ayapripri Ibime for comment who was non-plussed about reviving the Playoff structure stating "The Playoffs are for Paper Tigers like Iykmora, Raumdeuter, Afrodoc2, Obainojazz, 6ixt8 and Timbros to try and steal glory via a Playoff lottery system. Ipukulu does not need a throw-of-the-dice to achieve silverware and is in a strong position at the top of the main league to do so this season. Ipukulu also still retain belief in winning the FA Cup outright on points rather than rely on the luck of Playoffs." In related developments, the manager of LamiJ, Bourne007 has accused Iamoyindamola of fabricating the Playoff crisis in order to deny him FA Cup silverware. Bourne007 told this reporter that with a 3 point lead over Monkey D Luffy which will extend to 6 points after this Gameweek, the newly broached Playoff workaround is an attempt to deny him the trophy, noting that he currently leads the FA Cup standings by a wide margin and will not have his impending victory subsumed by iamoyindamolas revisionist Playoff arrangement. The biggest loser in the current shake up is Calibrator of Hojuhape FC who are neither close enough to Ipukulu to win the main league nor close enough to Bourne007 to win the FA Cup and whose hopes of silverware lie in Iamoyindamola reviving the Playoff system. Calibrator has thus thrown his weight behind the Playoff workaround. It is set to be a week of political intrigue in FPL as these matters come to resolution whether by horse-trading or in the courtroom. Abiola Fayose - Premium Times. |

Monkey d'luffy manager hit back at ibime over strong allegations The management of monkey d'luffy are taken back by these strong allegations from the club ipukulu FC champion by their manager ibime. Ibime have been looking for ways to get back at Sodeeq juices the manager of Monkey d'luffy because he exposed him on one of his Fa cup trophy was as a result of coin tossing aka pooling booth system. This was during the pandemic where majority of the players and managers were affected by the virus, ipukulu FC was able to survive the period using Odeshi. Let's not forget the FPL committee are still reviewing the the credibility of trophy won by ipukulu FC during the pandemic. However, the management of Monkey d'luffy is appealing and has apologised to the entire football clubs for such school boy error of not including Play offs it was an over sight rather than embellezzement of funds as the Play offs will be organised outside of the competition which will lead to over spending more than the allocated funds available. On a final note, the FPL committee are currently reviewing both allegations from the clubs Ipukulu FC and Monkey d'luffy. Polls will be created for these purposes for transparency and unity. Let's continue to enjoy our game till MD36 when a new code will be sent to top8 of the fa cup for mini Play offs. Karim Ilorin for FPL news |

Iamoyindamola I don't think creating a new mini playoff league is a good idea. Let the season run its natural course, who stands number one at GW38 should be declared the winner. For posterity sake... We shouldn't have a different winner in the GW38 FA Cup and the playoffs. Next season we can revert back to default playoffs settings. Just a suggestion ooo. |
| Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2025/2026 by TheStrongest: 8:15am On Feb 15 |
iamoyindamola:It doesn't make much sense tho.. Let's finish the league as is, then next season we do the playoffs or vote to keep the playoffs. But then, I'm only one vote. You can create a poll and let majority decide what we should do this season. |
| Re: Nairaland Fantasy Premier League 2025/2026 by Calibrator: 9:02am On Feb 15 |
Two votes. Playoffs should be included next year but we conclude this season as it is. At least we all started with 0pts, so whoever is top by GW38 is a worthy winner.... More worthy than 8th winning the whole thing via playoffs in my own opinion sef ![]() TheStrongest: |

Omor... I've been offline for a while now. I'm just seeing this mistake now. My opinion is, iamoyindamola should create a mini league for playoffs in the last 3 GWS... Reason being that some of us are playing with a strategy that keeps us hovering around playoff spots (not necessarily top spot) till playoff, then unleash chips to win the competition. This strategy gives the present too manager undue advantage to go all the way and win the competition. I can be in 8th position by GW35 and still win the competition via playoff. Can I win the competition if I am 8th in GW35 without playoff? Remember we all started this FA Cup believing it's a playoff competition. Let's keep it the way it is biko. Playoff it is. |
