Same Atlanta consulate that has not been able to produce my son’s passport since we applied on Dec 31, 2024. Telling me they will look for it when they are less busy, then stopped picking my calls.
Same Atlanta consulate that did not approve my son’s Emergency Travel Certificate until I had to go there a week before we travelled. Claiming we didn’t include our contact details. Something we included multiple times in the application.

They haven’t done well for me oo.

Try again. 2024 was a long time ago. Many things have improved with the current minister

I had same experience too in the UK...£20 money order.I got mine within 5 days.I think renewal is far easier than processing for a first timer.

My wife got her passport renewed and got my kids their first Nigerian passport and it was delivered by DHL within 2 days of them going to the embassy for biometrics

With me paid expedite extra money, it took me two weeks to get my passport

I did mine in Chicago after I filled it online and went to the consulate in Chicago to do and it took almost two months before it arrived

I completed my application paid all necessary charges since 01/01/2026. My passport is no where to be produced. I have sent emails and they keep pushing me around.

Imagine how much someone said he used to renew passport and someone in the comment section said he renewed his own just £20 and delivered in 5 days. So how will u renewed passport for such amount. . Like 380$,that's like 514k.... as how na.

It's rather unfortunate I can't renew because my old one says I was born in Ifon Osun while my other passport says elsewhere. It was gotten for me in Ibadan for ₦25k in 2006, showing no documents and only passport photos.

It wasn't a problem for years until it was clocked at Murtala last time I left. I was fortunate the clocker had sympathy on my dying state, but it's a risk not to take anymore.

I literally don't believe, though some did it here in china,sent 1m to an agent in Nigeria and they had their passport delivered to them in china...

Fast forward to me, I decided to do mine genuinely, I contacted naija consulate in gz, they said I need to visit Beijing, I called Beijing, they said I need to be present for capturing and thumbprint, I was shocked cus how others dey do am wey they won't leave their house, long story short,I traveled to Beijing and had it done,met some that where asking if the server abi network is good that day,I was surprised, network ke,they said they've been in Beijing for two days due to network,well
We did it that day and left for gz, though they have started 10yr passport validity for renewal shaa,I think it was two months or a month plus later,I received a call around 8pm that my passport is ready that I should send my old passport to them, which I did,I was asked to pay 30yuan for delivery of my old and new passport,it was delivered to me in the market..if this not leaving the house is possible, why's it that Beijing is yet to adopt it?

Plus,I heard that the one some people did by sending roughly 1m to agent in Nigeria to do has a limited validity and I learnt it's for those who wishes to leave china immediately cause that passport doesn't have credibility in the sense that it can be deleted at any moment from the server ...

I still went there in December, that’s less than two months ago, same story. They even told me that they had sent it. Then I entered the USPS tracking number in their presence, then they started ignoring me and acting funny. Mr Pius, one of the employees in the office, who said he would help me look for it no longer picks my calls.

The high commission in Ottawa Canada doesn't pick calls or respond to emails

Nothing special about this, people get passport instantly..

NOTHING NEW HERE!!!
AS far back as 2015, I submitted my renewal form online and paid through their agency. Was invited to Ottawa for biometric capture.
Arrived before 10.00 am, took all biometric data, and waited for my new passport, and collected before 3.00 PM, enough time to return to Toronto. Even people feom far away Calgary had an option of home capture.
