Na to run the earth yourself. When I moved from sachet inverter to hybrid, I had to do a new earth for my inverter and solar panel bassdow: |

Gshems:Any tips on how to DIY earthing for inverter and solar panel? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by adimx(m): 12:46pm On Feb 14 |
Marykhay:Just get an external 2amps active balancer and add to the battery pack. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 1:00pm On Feb 14 |
adimx:Chief thank you. Though I just confirmed earlier this morning that the imbalance in the system is not significant: Battery 0 -> Battery 1 = 3.18V Battery 1 -> Battery 2 = 3.18V Battery 2 -> Battery 3= 3.18V Battery 3 -> Battery 4 = 3.2V So the problem is why is a 768Wh system not up to 400Wh from my capacity test? Are they fake cells? Or is there some other problem that I don’t know? |

Hi everyone i need your suggestions I have a 100ah lifep04 battery I bought from a friend. Its diy. I over discharged the battery overnight now its stuck at absorption mode even after charging with both ac-dc 10 amp 14.6v charger and mpt solar charge controller. Whats the way forward ?

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by adimx(m): 2:18pm On Feb 14 |
Maybe your Charging voltage is likely not giving a full charge. Marykhay:You still need it cos the batteries at some point will no longer be balanced. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Marykhay: 3:24pm On Feb 14 |
adimx:Charging voltage is set at 14.6V. And it beeps everyday on the inverter whenever it’s full. However, it just doesn’t last up to 700Wh. As for the balancer, can you kindly post a picture of your recommendation? |

dollarnaira:which one come dey manageable for fridge? I am guessing PSW inverters should do. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 4:11pm On Feb 14 |
Tdoctor:just buy earth rod 4meters.. Buy clip for the earth rod. But 2.5mm or 4mm depending on the size of your pocket. Drill the rod into the earth |

Marykhay:Charge the battery fully to confirm if it is indeed balanced, you can't know at this state |

Gshems:depending on capacity of the solar setUp, 2.5mm might be too small Oooo |

capnies:Your response come be like that oga way they always type epistle and usually end up saying nothing. He uploaded the inverter specs sheet, and you are saying IF it can take 48V, and co. And you suggested 5s2p? Make he add amp together again when specs sheet say 18A maximum PV input? Spec sheet is clearly saying 24V and 18A max input, boss. You miss am? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 11:07pm On Feb 14 |
True. My setup is a small one. So 2.5mm was OK bassdow: |

Happy Sunday my people. Thanks for all your inputs on my predicament so far. Like someone advised that I should charge the battery full today and measure each cells of my system. Here are the results below. It is worth noting that immediately it hit the 14.6V mark on load it went down to 13.9V: Battery 0 -> Battery 1 = 3.51V Battery 1 -> Battery 2 = 3.49V Battery 2 -> Battery 3= 3.49V Battery 3 -> Battery 4 = 3..49V The problem, like I mentioned earlier, was that the 768Wh 12.8V capacity does not even get to half of what it should be. More Context: I use 3 units of a 180Watts Panels running on a 60Amps PWM controller, and a Sachet inverter. Further Context In just about 10mins under a load of about 40Watts it drops down to 13.1V which I always feel is not normal, but hey, that’s why I’m here. So pls house what could be wrong the system? Thanks in anticipation. @dollarnaira @penuelseun @capnies @adimx @Mrreed @valto And co

These cells looks like salvaged cells. I think that's the issue. I'd advice you not to add more cells to it. If you get money, just buy new cells and diy a bigger capacity for yourself Marykhay: |
